I made you a chair that is empty

Happy Empty Chair Day! Today’s the day our tribe displays empty chairs prominently.

And because I assume my readers are all lazy sacks of shit like me, I made you a Photoshop Empty Chair Day kit! You can make fun of Dear Leader without leaving the snug four walls of mom’s basement!

You can choose from a folding chair or a lovely wooden chair, if you prefer. They’re .png files, so they’re openable by lots of graphics programs (not just Photoshop, which you probably can’t afford in Obama’s America), but the .png format allows me to give you a transparent background.

That’s right — I did all the cutting around the little irritating bits for you!

Oops, gotta run. Have fun!

I have a “vintage” U.S.N. aluminum classroom chair that was old in 1962 when my father brought it home from his Naval Reserve station (they replaced the old furniture). It has been banging around with me since I was ten! Husband set it out in the flower bed this morning. He’s not an artistic person, but it looks great.

I read today that agents for Obama are shopping for a suitable habitation in Hawaii for the family, post-election. They were going to build a new palace, but there’s not enough time now 🙂 I think I’m going to make a plastic flower lei to drape over the chair, because the Democrats love symbolism so much.

Stoaty—can you put that chair on a sticker?

I would have thought Le Roi Soleil would be more comfortable in a Louis XIV fauteuil. L’état, c’est moi!

What a stuff of un-ambiguity and preserveness of valuable knowledge on the topic of unexpected emotions.

Thank you, spam-posting guy!

Oh, GEEZ. I’ve made fun of this Mature Dating site before, but this lady takes the biscuit.

I suspect I’m older than she is, and I’d look pretty awful slumped at the foot of a bed, too. WHICH IS WHY I’VE NEVER LET ANYONE TAKE MY PICTURE LIKE THAT. Let alone for a dating site.

Oh, mama! She probably smells like a chip shop.

Poor thing is probably tired of giving blokes handies round the back of the pub and needs “managerial representation”. The shoulder tat is particularly classy.

So did anyone get a chair count around the neighborhood? I took the bike out this morning, and cruised almost all the residential streets in a roughly mile square grid with my house (and chair) at the center. Not encouraging, although this is, after all, Southern California. I counted six or seven prominently displayed chairs, and about as many that were maybes- the chair might have just been part of the lawn decor. On the plus side I saw four or five anti-obama/ pro conservative yard signs, and only one obama/Biden sign.

DAMN!!! Michael Clarke Duncan died today of a heart attack. 🙁

For those of you not familiar, he was the giant death row inmate in THE GREEN MILE, and a host of others. I really liked the guy.

I would have to be in the Third World when somebody comes up with a great idea like National Empty Chair Day. I would have loved to put one out and then gone around to see how many others I could spot. Fie…

Stoaty, the woman is looking to hook up with guys to have sex. I think her photo fits her purpose.

Sad really, but if she’s looking for sex she should either:
a) Introduce an affectionate animal into the shot hopefully to attract the dog and pony show crowd or
b) Use a neighbor’s photo.
Constantly amazed when on VPN how many Swedish and German speaking Asian girls live in my ‘hood and wanna meet for a drink. Who knew?

I have relished every last word. Who ever claimed writing was a lost art?

Write a comment

(yeah. I'm going to write)

(oooo! you have a website?)

Beware: more than one link in a comment is apt to earn you a trip to the spam filter, where you will remain -- cold, frightened and alone -- until I remember to clean the trap. But, hey, without Akismet, we'd be up to our asses in...well, ass porn, mostly.
