Steve in Tucson: Also check eBay for Photoshop Elements — You can frequently get the “last” version (whatever version was before the latest update) for a little bit of nothing. I did that a couple of years ago. I also got MS Digital Image (I think that’s the name), older version, same way & like it a lot.

LK, I’ve seen that poster. But classy? No. See, the big brave fruity freaks can poke fun at Christians, since they are sooo evil, but you will never see them mocking Mohammed and his many concubines and child bride…because..

1. The little faux men in the mean ole leather gear are ultimately sissies with a need for anal reconstructive surgery, antibiotics for the infections, cocktails for their malfunctioning immune systems, creams for the itching and burning, and attention, attention, attention *stamps pink little foots*. The narcissism overshadows their nihilism and they would prefer to keep their heads.

2. Mohammed and his follower’s proclivities are right up their alley.

zombietime.com has all of the disgustingness of Soddom and Gommorrah on full display. Oh…and some ‘couples’ brought their small children.

pnb – yeah, I saw posters advertising the “event”. I believe you could call it classy, as in professionally done, but as soon as they broke out into the fetishist stuff, it got weird. I never saw pictures from the event and don’t really intend to. I once rented “Cruising” with Al Pacino, because who *doesn’t* like
Al Pacino? Had no idea what it was about and quickly decided that it wasn’t for me.

Steve, there is no off-topic at sweasel.com. There are only questions I’m afraid to answer in public for fear someone will know the real answer and blow my cover.

I am a pro! I also draw. There’s a program called the GIMP that is open source and famously does everything Photoshop will. I’ve tried it and got frustrated…mostly because once you learn to do a thing in one program, it’s a pain in the ass trying to learn it in a different program.

However! Many products (scanners, digital cameras) come with a cut down version of Photoshop called Elements. For all I know, you can buy Photoshop Elements stand-alone, too. It’ll do maybe 80% of what Photoshop will do — which is probably exactly the 80% you need.

See if you or someone you love hasn’t already got this lying around.

OFF TOPIC (sorry but figured this oughtta be in comments rather than just in an e-mail)
Regular reader (think I’ve only commented twice though) of you and Ace’s sites and figured you might be a person to ask since you seem to do lots o’ drawring. I’m starting out making a general-purpose webpage for my family and blog, it will be tehhenrys.net (unless I can come up with a better name, nothing there yet) and was wondering if you could throw some names of some good but cheap graphics editing programs I could use for designing the interface, buttons, and a bit of animation for it. The books I’ve read suggest Photoshop of course, but it looks mighty pricey. Just looking for a quick suggestion from an apparent pro.

Sorry in advance if this is a bit out of left-field from your standard comments. Love the site! Your black and white style is very interesting.
