…and now for something completely badger…

Mr Lumpy. No, I’m not talking about my beloved. Mr Lumpy is a badger that lives in Manchester. Videos of him (and fambly and other critters) are one of the brighter spots in my Twitter feed. Check it out if you need a brighter spot in yours.

Only, I just got to the tweet in his feed about foxes and their soulful eyes when I heard a commotion in the garden. Everybody’s okay, but that bigass soulful bastard was definitely back trying to appreciate the wonders of nature in my henhouse.

Hippies. Feh.

So, are they televising Her Maj with The Donald and their ostentatious retinues on the Beeb there? I saw The Grand Entrance and Toasts on video delay and someone, of course, had to clutch pearls and whimper, “Did Donald touch the queen? Protocol demolished! Declare WAR or at least persona non grata!

Frankly, I think ER Deuce likes The Donald. She gave him a book.

@ExpressoBold—don’t you remember when Michelle Obama hugged (gasp!) Her Majesty?

Her Majesty was as gracious with Michelle as one would hope a Monarch would be when dealing with one of the uneducated and unwashed. One doesn’t expect them to know about etiquette.

Besides, she was probably just relieved that Michelle’s husband didn’t try to apologize for the American Revolution.

Probably relieved Michelle didn’t take a bite out of her.

I was more entertained by the Mayor of London. He used a projector to put up derogatory messages on that bulbish City Hall building. The one that looks like the gherkin but squashed down and pushed askew.

The projections on the building included things like poll numbers on Trump and similar. Brits love Obama at 77% but hate on Trumo at 13%. Nice welcoming touch from Mayor Khan.

I really wanted to see Trump kiss Meghan Markles baby but I guess she wasn’t at the Afternoon Tea. Didn’t see Harry either. Lots of TV coverage of the pomp and circumstance. I wonder if the red and black colors are Pantone?

We’ve had nothing but wall-to-wall “he shouldn’t be allowed in here!” coverage.

Similar to the impeachment drive, you have to ask, “what exactly do you think he has done?”

I would like to apologise for our media, which is about as representative of public opinion here as CNN appears to be of yours.

So here’s the plan. First we throw the Conservative and Labour parties out of the window as soon as possible. Then we exit the EU pronto. Finally, pest control measures can begin among the self-appointed ‘elite’ in the education and media woodwork.

Two nations – very similar swamps, I’m afraid.

I rather think Uncle Badger has hit the nail on the head (even though I’m Irish, I live and work in England)

I think the ultimate solution starts with the command to fix bayonets. Sad, but it’s gone too far for any other solution to work.

This all comes of receiving a ‘liberal education’ – and I mean that in the worst sense, rather than the original intent of the phrase.

The surviving members of the KGB should be having nightly fetes to celebrate their success at infiltrating and destroying the foundations of Western society.
The fact they bit the dust first is very cold comfort.

I think you are entirely right, DurnedYankee. The rot was introduced into the education system just prior to WWII – something else we have to thank the Fuhrer for. when he expelled Germany’s communist problem.

Hitler, having seeded American and British universities with perpetually disaffected Marxists, left the ground fertile for the Soviets, who were able to control whole swathes of academia. Far from being a conspiracy theory, this is a matter of historical record, admitted to by Soviet defectors like Oleg Gordievsky.

The irony is that although the Soviet Union collapsed, its agents of influence achieved lasting success in the West, having poisoned several generations.

We see the results every day on our TV screens.

@ExpressBold – MrsDurned brought that up this morning when I exclaimed our Bad_boy must be impeached because he ‘touched’ the Royal person.

She said that was far less offensive than Bigears giving the Royal person a collection of his own speeches as a gift.

That tweet is hilarious and will be shared so ‘they’ can make note the whole Durned family needs to be re-educated when Ocasio-PocoLoco becomes President.

Yes, and the seeds were sown long before that by the Fabians.
