I grab-a you face!

If you wanted to be a comic book artist — and who didn’t? — learning to draw this hand gesture was a must. All the villains and most of the heroes tried to reach out of the newsprint and latch onto your face at least once per issue.

Rain today. Yay!

Wow! 26 days and keepin’ with it. Great theme, and lots of fascinating takes on it.
Go, Sweas!

Lovely! And it applies to more than just comic book characters. If you were to draw me in the morning in my quest for coffee, that would fit right in!

Begone, foul dwimmerlaik…

er? Dwimmerlaik?

The internet, where if a million morons post that that word is the name of the Lord of the Nazgul, rather than a word Tolkein borrowed from old Anglo Saxon…

You know, I never envisioned it as being a mechanism for increasing ignorance, but that’s what it has become.
All the village idiots from all the villages throughout the world can actually gather together and super charge stupid.

Best recent example –
Hi Greta! I stole your future! I’ve got it locked in a box in my garage next to my power tools and my 2 mile to the gallon SUV.

Hearing about this kind of hand-jive that actors need to learn for comic book movies is always entertaining for me. I’ve heard about it most from Elizabeth Olsen for the Scarlet Witch role.

(oooo! you have a website?)

Beware: more than one link in a comment is apt to earn you a trip to the spam filter, where you will remain -- cold, frightened and alone -- until I remember to clean the trap. But, hey, without Akismet, we'd be up to our asses in...well, ass porn, mostly.
