You would if you could

Big cat has a vet appointment tomorrow. It’s his annual shots. He’s two.

I know kitten shots are super important, but I’m less convinced on the need for adult shots. Particularly as they get old enough to know where they’re going and HATE it.

But he yakked up several times last week and looked distinctly under the weather, so we accepted the appointment. Now he’s looking all better (of course). I suppose I’ll go through with it.

Unfortunately, all my cat carriers have chickens in them, so I’ll have to break out the cage.

I never get adult cats vaccinated. It’s not a reasoned position. I just see no reason to take the grups to the vet unless they’re sick.
No, I’m not scared of them why do you ask.

I quit taking my girl to the vet when she was about 5. She would fight being put in the carrier, promptly pee once in there, have a massive fur drop from stress and had such high heart rate once we got there I was afraid she was going to have a stroke. It wasn’t worth it to put her thru that. She was an only child, never went outside and was never around other animals…and she liked it like that.

Mrs Fert says time to buy a new cat carrier — one without chicken poop.

Much to our surprise, Delilah goes quite peacefully to the vet. And is not at all a horror show when they examine her.

And of all the pictures, lol. And puurrrfectly rendered.
