Oh heavens how I love molasses cookies, and Gingerbread. JavaMan dislikes both, and finds it somewhat _______________ (fill in your own word) that I would bake a sweet HE does not like. But do I whine when he buys over-priced Chilean grapes in the middle of winter? I do not.
I wish I had a basket of kittens—just for a little while.

Mmmmm…molasses cookies. It isn’t Christmas without Lebkuchen like my Omi made. I’m always in a cultural muddle with a German Gran, a Southern Gran (Scots ancestry) and married to an Italian…so I end up making cannoli, Lebkuchen and Dundee cake.
btw- Glace cherries in the Dundee cake, heresy or no?
