Farewell and good riddance…
Yay! These came today! They’re for making Chinese dumplings AKA potstickers AKA gyoza AKA Jiaozi AKA 餃子. Yes, of course I looked that last one up.
I love these things. Now I can make them!
I didn’t have any ground pork, so I didn’t bother making proper wonton wrappers either. I had some leftover puff pastry from a disastrous turkey pie I made the other day. That was totally wrong for potstickers but made pretty okay tiny sausage and cheese pasties.
I’m whistling and cooking and slowly backing away from 2020. No sudden moves, people, and we might just make it.

Just keep looking 2020 squarely in the eye as you back away. . .
Gonna split a bottle of champagne with my downstairs neighbor while we watch a movie and eat the chocolates and pineapple that were in the Xmas basket from my sister-in-law (along with 1 1/2 dozen apples/pears/oranges, and a poinsettia–she gets carried away). And then I’m gonna come home and go to bed early because tomorrow is another day.

We spent the day at the beach…me sitting in the sun with a book, hubby trying out his metal detector that Santa brought him.. it’s hamburgers on the grill tonight, a bottle of Prosecco in the heated pool, passed out in bed well before midnight. Happy New Year and may 2021 see Trump in the White House for 4 More years and death to the covid tyrants who made 2020 miserable. See y’all next year!

Happy New Year Can’t Hark and all fellow minions! Just past 11pm here and Her Stoatliness and I have opened a bottle of fizz an hour early. And for why? Because at 11pm UK time we finally managed to extricate ourselves (kinda sorta) from the Museum of Socialism. Needless to say, it was a locally produced English fizz – and before anyone starts, English ‘champagne’ now regularly wins the blind tasting trials against the original. Which makes it all the more enjoyable, of course!
Now, all we have to do is hang on till midnight before shooing 2020 out of the door and all you have to do is toss Biden and his gang of thieves over the side and join us in glorious freedom. After that, we raise the jolly Roger and damn the lot of ’em!
