Here we go…

Last day of work today. I’m off for a couple of weeks. I can’t be more precise as I’ll have to go in briefly in the middle to check on the building. A glorified janitor, me.

I usually come up with a cheap Christmas gimmick to spare me even the desultory effort of coming up with a post every day, but I drew a blank.

I briefly considered putting a perishable item of food outside and taking its picture every day to post. You know, the Twelve Days of Deteriorating Baloney or something. I’m pretty sure if a fox didn’t eat it and the cat didn’t eat it and the seagulls didn’t eat it a chicken would.

So it’ll just have to be me and my low effort shitposting this year.

Adorable ferret stolen from Reddit.

From time to time I fall prey to the old interwebz subject matter of photographs and descriptions of various really old food items. Which leads me to this suggestion for a really lazy Sweazie: buy one McDonald’s hamburger. Take one photograph of it. Post that same one photograph each and every day for the holiday duration, changing only the dated caption. No one will be the wiser!

Or, if you’re feeling energetic, make up a different caption for each day. Example: Day 9: Odor Unchanged

cooking! Cook something different for every day!

You know – like Mrs D’s breakfasts (she’ll eat the same thing, day after day after day)
Toasted Cheese sammich on day one.
Toasted Cheese sammich on day two.
Toasted Cheese sammich on day three!
A bowl of instant oatmeal on day four.
Toasted Cheese sammich on day five
(I blame her father for teaching her these delightful breakfast choices. His parents were from Jolly Old and ran a fish and chips place south of Boston.)

You only have a few days left anyway!
Go on a Korean food experiment binge,
make Hobak Buchim, couldn’t be simpler!

You could have guest posters! Ask for contributions and I’m sure there are a ton of readers with egos big enough to think they’re bloggers.

Welcome to Winter (Official) !!!!

I ascertain that the solstice actually occurs at 12:48Zulu, which is about 45 minutes from the time of this post.

Brrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!

That gives me an idea for unenergetic posts which actually inform: sunrise, sunset, length of daylight, all derived from data at https://www.timeanddate.com/

I think I did the Twelve Days of Chickens last year, didn’t I? My poor birds are looking sad and bedraggled these days. The weather has been shit and they feel pretty hard done by.

(yeah. I'm going to write)

(oooo! you have a website?)

Beware: more than one link in a comment is apt to earn you a trip to the spam filter, where you will remain -- cold, frightened and alone -- until I remember to clean the trap. But, hey, without Akismet, we'd be up to our asses in...well, ass porn, mostly.
