I read somewhere that Newsom could appoint Kamala, get himself appointed Vice President, then Joe can retire or croak.

Y’all beat me to this. I think that has been the plan since Feinstein died. And maybe before. They can’t run Biden without his victory being blatantly obvious election fraud. They are in even worse shape with Kamala Harris. As VP, Newsome would be at least theoretically conceivable if cheated into office.

Di-fi was, in the British vernacular, a C*NT. All capital letters. She sold her seat decades ago to the Chinese. In fact, she employed a CCP guy for a decade or more. Imagine that…a sitting senator with a close confident/ staff member who reported directly to the chairman of China. And along the way, she and her husband, because they made sure that they each had separate business accounts (but did they really?…), each made millions thru what would be called insider trading if you or I did it.
The old line about not speaking ill of the dead? Eff that. She was a vile and evil person. She screwed not only her constituents but also the rest of the nation. Her family will walk away all the better for her malfeasance…the rest of this nation, not so much.

I first became aware of DiFi during the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Ruby Ridge hearings. She was, as I recall, upstaged by Arlen Specter and the wide-stanced Larry Craig.

Ruby Ridge, by the way, took place during the reign of Bush the First, for those of you who think this whole hell-in-a-handbasket thing is a recent development.

@Gordon R. Durand. So what’s your point? I freely admit both sides of the coin are not only tainted but flat out repugnant. Both sides have engaged in egregious violations of our rights and patriots/citizens have died. Frankly, I trust the right side of the aisle even less than I trust the left. The left can be counted on to hold a unified (anti-constitutional) line. The right can only be counted on to be the loyal opposition. I look forward to being equally gleeful when Mitch “I married a CCP business heiress” McConnell shuffles off this mortal coil.

Regarding DiFi: she did have the guts to tell a pack of “green” children that the “Green New Deal” wasn’t going to happen; that she wouldn’t vote for it because there was no way to pay for it.

Getting old is a bitch. Thursday, I was sitting in an exam chair in an ophthalmologist’s office, being interrogated by one of the technicians, when I casually looked down at my feet and shouted “Oh No!” I was wearing one gray house shoe and one black go-to-town shoe. We all had a good laugh, but I have no idea what interrupted me while I was changing my shoes. So now I have to add “check your feet for matching shoes” before leaving home.

At least I was wearing the gray shoe without paint splatters all over it.
