Mmm. Taters roasted in goose fat—sounds delish. Here at Buzzards Roost, Christmas is coming on the 19th! I’ve decided on a traditional meal in my family: brisket, pinto beans, cornbread, cold salads–which the rest of the family will bring (potato, pea, green tossed, cole slaw), and PAH! (pumpkin, pecan, Dutch apple, and a layered pudding dessert called “Better Than Sex Cake” which the men adore) Merry Christmas Y’all!

I bet your tree smells divine. I was out in Cali forn i a. Last week and our friends put up their tree. I just lurved sitting next to it with the fire roaring, it smelled wonderful!! Alas, we have the faux tree in our house and there just is NO areosol that gives that fresh piney smell.

I can’t put up a real tree because of the 5 dogs and 4 cats. Nothing worse than tinsel after having gone through the gastrointestinal tract of a cat.

Looks very Christmasy. I am appreciating photos this year as I have talked myself out of getting a tree. We don’t spend any time in the room it would be in to enjoy it and I’d have to find a place to dispose of it come January. Well, okay, not so much the finding of a place as the getting out in subzero with wind to get rid of it. I’m a wuss when it comes to that.
