Lookit the kitty!

So Uncle B’s, like, “you can’t go take a bath instead of writing a blog post!”

And I’m, like, “pff! Sure I can! I’ve done disappointing, lame-ass posts lots of times. I’ll just put up a cute cat picture and act natural.”

I hit one of those “ZOMG you have a virus click here to fix it!” fake sites earlier and had to stop everything and do a full Malwarebytes scan, so here’s your cute cat picture.

I don’t know where I stole that snow leopard, but it seems appropriate. We’ve been snowed in today, and it’s snowing like a BASTARD out there right now. Okay, we’re only in the four inches range — which I realize now qualifies as flurries in our nation’s capitol — but it really isn’t letting up and that’s about max for where we are.

Though there was one legendary snowstorm in the Sixties when they had to airlift food to this area. I sure hope Brits know beer is food.

Hm. My area (TRUE upstate New York) got about three inches of good packing snow. Confused the hell out of the school superintendents, because it started AFTER all the school buses had transported the little darlings to school (no snow day), then snowed like a demon long enough to make them think they’d better close early and try to get everyone safely home. . .then it quit. Meanwhile, to the South of us. . .this has been one weird winter.

Window’s open here…I do have a sweatshirt and socks on, but no snow, alas. Gonna be in the high 50s to low 60s (F) here all week. The tree outside my bedroom is already swelling in orgiastic spring enthusiasms!

At least the climate’s good here in this part of California…

And I’m always up for cute kitty photos.

Well, I’m here in lovely Mclean, VA on an Official Snow Emergency Route and I can’t see the damn street. It’s over a yard deep here.

Send me a couple of Snow Leopards. I need bedwarmers.

It’s been great! Philadelphia didn’t quite get hit as hard as DC in the first round, but I think we took ’em in the second. The gin is getting a bit low, but everything should be open Thursday, hiho hiho.

Chi-town’s been hit twice, about a foot altogether. I had to shovel out the trash dumpsters. If they’re blocked in the garbage company won’t pick up.

The middle Atlantic U.S. got it hard. Uberhacker Eric S. Raymond lives near Philly; he sez that not only have they got about five feet (in two waves), but it appears that some of the east coast Internet router nodes have borked.

Got a little snow here. The plows plowed the bare
pavement on my street several times.

They have snow leopards at the Roger Williams zoo so
maybe you snuck in there and snapped that picture
whilst experiencing a absinthe induced amnesia.

Anything is possible. I once woke up in Yonkers
without having any idea how I got from RI to there.
Could have been kidnapped by gypsies or flung there by a
giant trebuchet. Or maybe hopped on a bus. Can’t
say anything for sure except alcohol was probably
involved.

Gosh, I haven’t been to Roger Williams Zoo since college. I had a whole list of things I was gonna do again before I left RI forever, but my schedule got horribly truncated there at the end. Now I don’t have any pictures of the Alice Building 🙁

A Mac chick! Why, I oughta…

So I guess that one last spin around Oakland Beach
(where the sea meets the debris)never happened then.
Iggy’s doughboys is no longer a shack, it has been
remodeled extensively.

I suppose doughboys in England are called squishy tufts
or some such thing. Speaking of food, I really need
the recipe for the 4 and 20 blackbirds pie thing. I
have six pence and a pocket full of rye but the
blackbirds don’t sing when I open the pie and my nose
is intact. No time for a full explanation, sorry.

No post is ever going to be so lame that it could not be redeemed by the likeness of one puffy licking another.

For purely medicinal purposes of course.

This is the first time I ever had to cancel a flight home because IAD was closed. But it was sort of running this morning, so after all day and most of the day tomorrow, my new flight should be able to land, and odds are good that the roads from the airport to my house are at least useable. I’m sure TGoP left me plenty of shoveling to do.

But thank God for Subarus !

Update: Fifty-six bleedin’ inches, and I didn’t stretch before shoveling. ‘Cause I’m stupid, thanks.

When you send the leopards, include some Ben-Gay or Icy-Hot. And a case of Tobermory. And Twiglets. You know, the wheat cracker rods that taste inexplicably like metal and soy sauce. Can’t seem to find them ’round here.

FIFTY-SIX inches? That’s getting on for five feet. In Virginia?!?
