I’m disappointed I couldn’t work out how to embed the thing directly. Uncle B got it in the mail, and it’s funnier if you have no idea what’s going to happen until he starts to sing. Sadly, the YouTube version slaps a title on it. Spoiler!

That is SO wrong…and yet…strangely compelling…

I thought Hitler sued YouTube so they would stop showing parody videos of him. 😉

Stoatie! I can’t thank you enough. After watching the linked video, I took a look at the other videos displayed down the side. There’s one that shows you how to open a beer bottle with PAPER! I ALWAYS have paper with me! I’ll never forget this dear Stoatie.

Grrrr. Another one of those fun things to be done with WordPress…embedding video. I think I would rather shut my eyes and hold hot dogs through the bars in the polar bear cage at the zoo.

Anyway, for some reason, WordPress prefers that video be presented as an object, so, the above should embed nicely wit’:

which also allows the punters to resize it way too big.

Now, weekend is over, back on your heads!

I could embed the YouTube version, EW — and you can mess with those size parameters all you like, if you keep the proportion correct. But the YouTube version pauses with the title in the corner. By linking to it externally, you hit it already playing, so the title is gone — but, of course, the title was already at the top of the page.

What I was *trying* to do — and, you are so right, WordPress makes that a world of ass-ache — is upload it as a .wmv or .flv and play it with some kind of plug-in. It wouldn’t even upload to my media gallery. It would pretend to for a few minutes, then all I got was a red numeral “1” and…nothing.

I hate working with video.

OMG, the best Hitler video ever!!

I hope the new <video> media tags in HTML5 will make video a bit easier, although the W3C are still squabbling about formats (Ogg Theora is open source, but IE and Safari don’t support it; H.264 is widespread but proprietary, and Mozilla doesn’t support it.)

Naw, I never figured out to do that either. PITA.
