Speaking of libya, 2,200 U.S. ground troops just got deployed there. May I be the first to say that this is asshatted government at its finest?

I honestly didn’t think even Obama could screw anything up this badly. He’s got the worst of all possible worlds here.

Scuttlebutt is he was nagged into doing something he didn’t want by Hillary. He’s playing Mister Detached during a combat operation. He’s alienated the professional left (again — but this one’s a doozy). These stupid wordgames they’re playing just make them look like maroons. And — as always in the region, but particularly with an operation this badly handled — we’ll be extremely lucky if the outcome is at all what we hoped.

Oh, and now we’re talking about arming the rebels? The al Qaeda-back rebels? That’s just swell.

Looks like Barry did the Carter / LBJ / Clinton trick of getting into a pointless war to look tough, but after a day or so his lack of any work ethic won the day.

Gaddaffi is one of the last remaining elder ‘Statesmen’ of the world. He is from a different time where most other politicians are dead and gone. He is a survivor, has been around, and knows where all the bodies are buried.
Look what happened to poor old Tariq Aziz? I would assume that the US wishes the same fate for Gaddafi.

The trouble is, that the US is running around killing off, murdering, bribing, heavy shunting most politicians on the planet.

It is WORSE than what the Soviet Union was doing to satellite and client states by a long shot.
