The heady taste of weasel

This photo was taken at a local fete in July, when we ducked into the tent of an owl rescue during a downpour.

I keep believing I see this sweet bird everywhere, but those are different barn owls from different animal rescue groups. They all seem to have this happy attitude to being stroked (which is, no doubt, why wildlife rescues trot them out to help fundraise).

No kidding, I bet I’ve been nibbled by five little barn owls since this picture was taken.

I’ve always found barn owls to be both very queer looking and very appealing. I didn’t know they liked to be stroked, and that just adds to the appeal!

I wonder if you could train barn owls for hunting, like falcons. I suppose operating at night would add to the challenge, along with the probability that alcohol would be involved.

Awesome! Great resources. It smells like a bit related to GDPR?

I keep believing I see this sweet bird everywhere. Owl is most intelligent bird.

Nothing out of the norm here. Sometimes the brand’s own domain will take up the top 1-4 results though.

The last four are spammers, obviously (there were more than that, but I biffed a few that were just links). Notice two of them mention a bird or owl.

Clever bot algorithms? Real human beans? Who knows!

Nice to see a spammer tradition honored by repetition

(yeah. I'm going to write)

Beware: more than one link in a comment is apt to earn you a trip to the spam filter, where you will remain -- cold, frightened and alone -- until I remember to clean the trap. But, hey, without Akismet, we'd be up to our asses in...well, ass porn, mostly.
