Let me call you sweetheart…

Twelve. The number of the bloggiversary is Twelve. What this blog lacks in content it has surely made up for in staying power.

Oh. And. This is also our tenth wedding anniversary, Uncle B and me. The tenth anniversary is tin or aluminum. And I’m, like, you’ve got to be shitting me! Ten years of my life and I’m going to get, what — a can of beans?

Screw that. He bought me chocolate and I bought him meat. And we bought ourselves a nice 17th Century coffer for the living room. It is not made of tin or aluminum.

I’m also taking tomorrow off, but I’m going to stop right now and queue up a Dead Pool ready to go. So tonight raise a toast to your favorite mustelids, probably, and meet us back here tomorrow, 6pm WBT for Dead Pool Round 119!

Well,now that you say it, and not so’s your heads get too big to fit down the rabbit hole, but;

yes, you two are Mrs D’s and my favorite mustelids.

I warn you that won’t even buy you that tin of beans you were talking about.

I add my congratulations, also. Geez, I’ve been reading this blog since before you were married. I didn’t realize it’s been so long.
But again, congratulations for both your anniversaries.

And congratulations from east central Florida as well, on both counts!

Congratulations on your double anniversary!

Wishing you two a cozy fireside in winter, soft breezes when summer comes, and the joy of shared laughter with your dearest friend for years and years to come!

Congratulations, both of you!

As I recall, I started reading the blog every day about the time you had been in England for a year — so, about 2010? Though I didn’t start commenting for a year or so. I went back and read the earlier entries too, all about how you were preparing to move to the UK.

How many of you commenters/readers have been here since the beginning?

And Stoaty, your blog has a great deal of content. It’s a fun, pleasant corner of the Innernet. (I even sort of miss the troll you used to have from Australia or wherever. Whatever happened to It? Did you just ban It, or did It give up on Its own?)

If you can go for 10 years, you can go for the duration! Keep on enduring one another!

Ten years of my life and I’m going to get, what — a can of beans?

Um… that would be an EMPTY tin can, that formerly had beans in it…

Chocolate, meat, and staying power: keys to a successful relationship.

Congrats, you wacky couple!

Your blog is one of my must-visits, and has been for a little less than 10 years: I discovered you through a comment on one of your posts (I was searching for the lyrics for David Bromberg’s “Sharon”–ah, those days before YouTube!), and fell in love.
May you and Uncle B and the blog all continue for many more years!

Found you through Rachel Lucas, many years ago.

I started reading around the time you were getting ready to take a trip to England—a vacation with Uncle B, as I recall. Mid-2007 maybe? But I can’t remember how I found your blog. Ohh Janna helped. I read Rachel Lucas, too.

I’ve never banned anyone, Wolfus. I don’t believe it works, anyway. It’s trivially easy to get around a ban, and then you’ve got a troll on site who knows they got under your skin.

I miss trolls, too. I’ve had several, but none of them was very good.

Anonymous was me, obviously. We had a lovely anniversary, and I’m having a three-day lie-in.

Which is the pinnacle of my ambition these days — sleeping well and late.

Sleeping well and late is the pinnacle of civilization. Happy anniversary, and many happy returns.

Java Man retired in November. Now I don’t have to get up and cook breakfast at 5:30, and pack his lunch anymore. He still gets up early though, and now he cooks breakfast for me most days 🙂 But we are moving—my daily chores are greatly multiplied. Downsizing and all that. And Java Man is in love with Marie Kondo so you know what that means.

Ugh. Moving is the WORST. I hope I never have to do it, ever again…but you don’t know. When we get rickety enough, a downsize might be in order.

The Geriatrics’ Paradox: by the time you really, really need to downsize, you’re too crunky to pull it off.
