A four-pack of greedy beaks

Here we see the chicken’s natural love of spaghetti. I think they think it’s worms.

This right here is illegal in the UK, by the way. Feeding people food to chickens, even pet chickens. This picture was taken in 2013, before the decree, though. Please not to be arresting me.

So, we have a Dead Pool winner already! Congrats, armybrat. Did you notice, by the way, that we had a pandemic and it didn’t affect the frequency Dead Pool winners at all?

It’s almost as if Covid-19 wasn’t particularly virulent.

Spaghetti has no natural predators and limited fight or flight response you monster.

I once made myself a large plate of spaghetti, eased myself into my comfy lawnchair and fl-fl-fl-fl-flump Lucia flew up and landed square in my plate of food.

A reminder that chickens stand around in their own shit.

I think the decree had it’s origins in the Spagetti harvest. I don’t know exactly but I think the chickens eat too much and fall out of the the trees or something.

Anyhow the BBC did a film about the harvest back in the 50’s. I found a link to it.

Apparently the UK Decree Writers are being paid under the table by Big Bin Scavengers.

Because all you people raisin chickens probably are completely more ignorant than all us people making rules and decrees whose relationship to chicken comes in the form of little cardboard cups of chicken tenders or marsala soaked chicken breast at our fancy London clubs.

Not a problem though, prepare the pasta specifically FOR the chickens and it can in no way be construed to be “kitchen waste” or “bin waste”. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Seriously though it looks like they’re trying to prevent Mad Pig disease, Mad Chicken disease and Mad Sheep disease by preventing you from feeding Sammy the Sheep with leftover bits of Sally the Sheep.

Just a moment ….. !!!!!!!!!!!

At the bottom of that article, there is a note saying, essentially that this policy, enacted in 2017, is a result of EU law, regulation, decree or whatnot.

GB extracted itself from the EU clutches in January, 2020. Shouldn’t the bureaucrats in London make their own rules rather than continuing to obey the bureaucrats in Brussels?

The rule is rather spurious.

Eh. Our local lot are every bit the enthusiastic authoritarians as the EU ones. We’re taking bets they’re going to keep everything they don’t tighten.

It has been (according to Rich Rostrom) 7 years and 62 days since my last win! That’s a long drought and Imma enjoy this sweet victory! Looking forward to this next dead pool…and hoping my next win won’t take so long!
