Just hanging out with my chicken, smoking a cigar
Last time I bought a cigar was about five years ago. It cost the same and I swear it was twice as big.
I walked into work this morning. I do that sometimes when the weather is okay, and when I do, I stop at a little coffee shop for a sit-down espresso. The woman behind the counter said, “you’re American. How do you feel about the election?”
I said, “please don’t worry. Everything will be fine. He’s not the monster they make him out to be.”
And she said, “oh, I know. I listened to JD Vance on Rogan the other day and he sounds like a good man.”
That was unexpected!
Have you enjoyed X as much as I have today? Life doesn’t hand us nearly enough gloating opportunities.
p.s. Why yes, that’s a rake handle propping up the end of the chicken house. You can take the girl out of Tennessee…

I hope you enjoyed a fine spirit to go along with your cigar.
I had an upper endoscopy yesterday morning, so no fine spirits for me—before or after. I’ll make up for it this evening.

Ugh. Medical procedures.
Too early in the day for spirits, but we had a bottle of local champagne last night. Sussex sparkling wines have won a bunch of awards (and some off them cost accordingly).

What a pleasant surprise at the coffee shop, @Stoaty. It’s nice to have the occasional supportive comment out of nowhere. I’ve been wearing my black-on-black Make America Great Again, same as the one Elon M. sports, and the smiles, thumbs up, and comments have been welcome. Also, the absence of negative reactions has been welcome as well.

Oh my, a cigar to celebrate!
Genius Sweasel!
I must make a trip to a packy with a humidor and spend the cash for a good one.
Now bourbon, whisky or scotch?

I’ve given up on cigars, and I can’t find my Danish meerschaum. Frustrating.
So I just breathed extra deep and doubled up on my favorite rye whiskey, appropriately from Redemption Distillery.

X is so much more fun now that regressives have banished themselves to BlueSky (which seems to be a much inferior alternative, much as Mastodon and others before it)
