Dead Pool Round 131: AAAAAHHHHH I’M LAAAATE

SHITSHITSHIT. Lookit the time! Holy geez.

Currently wins the dick with Carl Reiner. That is all.

GOGOGOGO!

0. Rule Zero (AKA Steve’s Rule): your pick has to be living when picked. Also, nobody whose execution date is circled on the calendar. Also, please don’t kill anybody. Plus (Pupster’s Rule) no picking someone who’s only famous for being the oldest person alive.

1. Pick a celebrity. Any celebrity — though I reserve the right to nix picks I never heard of (I don’t generally follow the Dead Pool threads carefully, so if you’re unsure of your pick, call it to my attention).

2. We start from scratch every time. No matter who you had last time, or who you may have called between rounds, you have to turn up on this very thread and stake your claim.

3. Poaching and other dirty tricks positively encouraged.

4. Your first choice sticks. Don’t just blurt something out, m’kay? Also, make sure you have a correct spelling of your choice somewhere in your comment. These threads get longish and I use search to figure out if we have a winner.

5. It’s up to you to search the thread and make sure your choice is unique. I’m waayyyy too lazy to catch the dupes. Popular picks go fast.

6. The pool stays open until somebody on the list dies. Feel free to jump in any time. Noobs, strangers, drive-bys and one-comment-wonders — all are welcome.

7. If you want your fabulous prize, you have to entrust me with a mailing address. If you’ve won before, send me your address again. I don’t keep good records.

8. The new DeadPool will begin 6pm WBT (Weasel’s Blog Time) the Friday after the last round is concluded.

The winner, if the winner chooses to entrust me with a mailing address, will receive an Official Certificate of Dick Winning and a small original drawing on paper suffused with elephant shit particles. Because I’m fresh out of fairy shit particles.

Racing to be the first, but I figure that Ghislaine Maxwell, who was arrested by the Feds has her suicide already scheduled. She was Pedo-blackmailer Jeffrey Epstein’s fixer, procurer, and general assistant. She was not pursued by the Federal government until recently. The Federal Attorney for the Southern District of New York was Jeffrrey Berman who was an interim appointment for 120 days, who was confirmed not by the Senate but by the judges of the Southern District of New York. He was fired by President Trump, with arguments going back and forth but with Trump winning. It is … interesting that within a couple of weeks after Berman being fired, his replacement finally indicts Maxwell. And that a lot of well known people may be indicted too.

My pick is Prince Andrew, who will simply have to go before Ghislaine Maxwell spills her guts. I mean spills her guts in the “testimony” sense, not in the “seppuku” sense. The Royal Family might then get away with suppressing anything she might blab about doing the nasty with nymphets.

Picking from my list: (rolls 2d6, have made a table to choose 1 of 4)… and it is the third name (following #1, then #2; so much for randomness).

John Lange – better known as “John Norman”, author of the “Gor” series of science-fantasy bondage and discipline novels, which have sold millions of copies over the decades. Bizarrely, there were people who liked them in spite of the B&D content. Like reading Playboy only for the articles.

@Subotai Bahadur – Yes, interesting indeed. If it appears that Maxwell will sing, and I’ll be medium surprised if that happens, I will be watching with keen attention to see what, if anything, the Royals do to protect themselves. There’s little doubt that Prince Andrew was engaged in activities (I’m being uncharacteristically gentle here) that powerful people are likely to make a significant effort to keep under wraps.

@LesterIII — “…many beautiful scores/soundtracks…” — except the ones with whistling. And I say that as one who likes the sound of fingernails on a blackboard.

Hmm. Anybody remember blackboards? Or have then been declared RAYCISS now? And that reminds me: somebody simply HAS to do something about those oppressive institutional slave-owning whiteboards. They’ve gotta be replace with boards of color whether they’re legible or not.

Ennio Morricone, OMRI (10 November 1928 – 6 July 2020) was an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and trumpet player who wrote music in a wide range of styles. Morricone composed over 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as over 100 classical works. His score to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) is considered one of the most influential soundtracks in history

Comment from LesterIII

@UncleAl, I too like nails on a chalkboard, and have had much entertainment in life using this trait.

It saddens me that you do not like the theme to TGTBTU, but Ennio has so many works, it isn’t possible to like them all.

Comment from Uncle Al
Time: July 8, 2020, 4:50 am

@LesterIII — I should been more accurate in my comment. It isn’t that the whistling is bad, it’s that I simply don’t like the sound of whistling. TGTBATU theme is very good and works very well for the movie; I just can’t listen to it without cringing at the whistling.

Comment from Timothy S. Carlson
Time: July 8, 2020, 12:03 pm

@Rich Rostrom:

I hate to nitpick, but ….

As of deadpool #128, I have (under the names Tim Carlson and Timothy S. Carlson):

– 93 total entries
– 75 unique entries
– 0 wins *frown*

Also, as of Deadpool “128”, there have been 6 skipped by Weasel for whatever reasons (14, 17, 29, 30, 66, & 81), so there have only been been 122 deadpools total (125 total as of deadpool “131”).

I’m going to go through all of the deadpools again and flag which ones I used “Tim Carlson” or “Timothy S. Carlson”. I’m retired and trapped in my house because of the CCP crud, so I have a _lot_ of free time.

Thanks!
