We’re back!

You may not have noticed, but the blog went away for a bit today. We got migrated to a new server and it broke something.

A plug for my host — HostingMatters — they’re very good and we’re back.

I’m kind of back, too. Feeling a bit better today, though very breathless with the slightest exertion. I reckon I’ll go in tomorrow. The longer I’m out, the bigger the mess waiting for me.

Speaking of the slightest exertion, here’s a quick ballpoint pen foot scribble.

No, seriously – have you seen what some people can do with ballpoint pens?

I’ve had mine on Hosting Matters for more than a decade. Never had a problem that was their fault, always got instant help when needed. They cost a bit more, but they’re rock solid reliable. Hey, maybe we’re digital neighbors? I’d have to dig through papers to look up what the name of the server is that I’m on.

Hosting Matters! I wrote “host matters” instead, because that’s the actual URL.

My old server was cayenne, but that’s retired now.

I noted you were ‘gone’. A blank page.

It gave me sadz.

But here you are and obviously once more (stand by for bad pun)

The game is…
a foot!

Those pen drawings are even more amazing than regular drawings aren’t they.
So much talent, all to be destroyed (and in only 12 years!) by globalwarmaclimatechange

Or, most likely not.
Even your foot drawing amazes me.
Glad you’re feeling more up to snuff.

This guy has a game camera at a log bridge over a stream in Pennsylvania, thought you might enjoy.

Thank you, Pupster! That was one of the most restorative and enchanting things I’ve seen in months and much needed as Her Stoatliness and I struggle out from the pit of groo.

I so envy Americans your wonderful variety of wildlife. We ate/skinned all our big ones long ago, so seeing your lynx and bears and wolves is like looking into our lost fairyland.

Without the fairies. Looks like you skinned and ate yours, too.

I got nuthin. Seriously, a beautifully drawn foot. A foot is a remarkably complex combination of curves which are very hard to render correctly; even more difficult than drawing a running horse, I think. I am impressed; perhaps slightly in awe as must be anyone who has ever tried to draw a foot.

Still….

I’m sitting outside having my coffee on a truly beautiful fall morning. It’s slightly cloudy with a nice breeze making the wind chimes sing. The Monarch butterflies are passing through in big groups, stopping to sip from our garden milkweed (I can count six right now), and the Canada geese are over on the lake honking about their travel plans. So I have been putting a little whiskey in my coffee and I’m on my third cup 😉

So I’m in a playful mood

Where has my other foot gone, long time missing ?
Where has my other foot gone, with long pointy toes?
Where has my other foot gone?
Well, Weasel always draws only one
Oh, why must I always lean?
Oh, why must I always lean

Glad you’re back! I honestly thought someone malicious brought it down, but I should have known it was a technical error.

It was terrible! I thought we had a WEASEXIT going, but that couldn’t be unless you had a backstop in your yard.

I’m surprised American Baseball is causing all this trouble for Boris’s plan.

That drawing is… amazing. I couldn’t do it in a millenium. And you call it “a quick … scribble” done with “the slightest exertion”.

Speaking of amazing drawings by you, I’ve been checking the mail for my OCoDW and accompanying piece of art. Did the email with my address not come through?
