The most famous spider in history, y’all

An estimated five point two billion people saw this little eight-legged ham today. And almost no-one saw Meghan.

You can’t tell me that was chance. Nothing at these ceremonies is by chance. At every turn she was behind a candle or a pillar or a tall guy blocking her face. Also, spider bro got closer to the crown than she’ll ever get.

Seriously, however you feel about monarchy, if you weren’t part of the 60-some percent of the planet that supposedly watched this thing, do watch some of the footage. Brits do these pageants brilliantly, always.

Also, your girl got the day off!

Did the Spider cry? Meghan cried, all over the place, she was soooooooo sad to see Her Royal Highness pass away.

She just cried and cried and cried.

Ask her, she’s a great actress, she’ll tell you if you interview her.

Meanwhile I’m reserving my judgements of His Royal Highness Charles III.

Sadly I must confess I expect him to, uh, confirm them, negatively, shortly.
Still it would be nice if something somewhere didn’t go into the crapper though, so maybe it will work out well and he’ll be a good sovereign. I’m hoping I can find a way to like him even half as much as I did HRH Elizabeth II.

Not sure about Charles III as a name. IIRC, the last two didn’t exactly work out brilliantly.

Feel bad for the Brits, she was a good queen. She had class, something sorely lacking in today’s world.

Having been born in London and went to school in Norfolk, I felt the pull of history and yes I cried a little at the end

I watched it all…how could one not? It had the same eerie feeling as watching 9/11…knowing that nothing would be the same as history unfolded before our eyes.

So many lump-in-the-throat moments, but this is the image that got me.

I had to smile when they rolled out the custom Jag hearse that HMTQ commissioned to her specifications…now that’s going out in style.

Oh…and mad props to whomever assigned Haz & Megs the same RR limo as the Duchess of Windsor.

Did someone catch the spider and release it outside somewhere?

I hope so.
