I’m Batman!

I’m Batman! I’m Batman! I’m Batman! Ahahahaha…I love that.

Now that Batman: Arkham City is about to be released, I was able to pick up Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year edition for, like, ten quid. Because somehow, my unemployed ass isn’t embarrassed to play video games all day, but my cheap ass is too cheap to pay new game prices.

It’s a good ‘un. I like the hallucination sequences best, though the game suddenly becomes a side-scroller and the controls are all different and I tend to walk my Batman over a cliff.

I’ll be perfectly honest with you — I’m not in very good control of my Batman. I’m not getting the hang of the commands. I just mash buttons and hope for the best.

Also — while I’m being honest — I get a kick out of it when Harley Quinn leans over my dead body and chants “loser, loser, loser – ha!”

Hey, if anybody else is on Steam, would you friend me, please? I play as AuntieWeasel. You don’t want me on your team or anything — I’m an old lady with old lady reflexes and I avoid multiplayer like a plague of zombies — but it’s just killing me every time I log in and Steam tells me “You Have 0 Friends.”

Geez, rub it in, why don’t you?

Invite sent, but it says you’re offline. Fine. Be that way.

And yeah, I waited until they had a weekend sale on it before buying and thought it was tremendous. It took a while before I quit button-mashing the fighting bits, though, as I get all frantic and clicky instead of taking the time to really deal out the punishment.

Well, I added you. And, Since I use the same screen name for EVERYthing, You’ll recognize me. (Although I too seldom play multiplayer with the one exception of team fortress 2. This is mostly due to a piece of shit computer with a cpu with a mild case of random exploding )

Hey SWeasel…I searched the Steam community for “AuntieWeasel”…no results.

You can find me under ‘DaveERazor’…I don’t have any friends either 🙂 …at least not in there…

You show as ‘auntie’ not ‘AuntieWeasel’…

Yay!…I has a friend now too 🙂

*Lots* of people turn up under “auntie” – but at least I’m first. I’ve been tinkering with my profile, so perhaps I can fix it.

Meanwhile, please enjoy this image of Hallucination Batman eating a rat.

Interesting – you have two dudes name Mitchell reading your site now Stoaty. I guess I go as Mitchell The Artist Formerly Known As Enas Yorl to avoid confustion. I bought Arkham City (360) a couple weeks ago and I can’t put it down. I’ll probably get Asylum when I’m done with this one if only to find out what happened before.

Oh, wow — I assumed that was you, formerly Enas Yorl. What’re the odds?

And for all of that, I still haven’t seen MST3K’s Mitchell — considered one of their best, but for that very reason it ain’t out there for free.

I feel so left out. I haven’t played anything since Rogue and Hack.

Hack. The Game That Ate a Year of My Life. 1985-1986.

And I didn’t escape the dungeon with the amulet until last year.

I’ll friend ya…soon as I figure out how. I only have Steam ’cause Fallout New Vegas requires it but I’ve bought several games from there.

BTW, nine days til I slide into the digital coma known as Skyrim.

I was uneasy about Steam when Halflife 2 required it. I don’t like having to be online to play (and it screwed us up at work, where I had gotten permission to run HL2 to demo some equipment — hehehe — and it wouldn’t run through the firewall).

But…after my old computer crashed and I got a new one, Steam remembered all the games I owned and let me download them all again. So, pretty happy about that.

Yeah, Um. They fixed that. You can be offline now. It won’t update, and it a pain in the ass for team fortress 2 (since you can’t access the item server to get all your cool stuff) but for most games its no big deal now to be offline. (Half life for sure.) But the whole “Yes you still have your games after a multi harddrive failure ” thing is wonderful.

Also, 24 days until I get a computer that doesn’t look at me with incredulity everytime I want it to turn on.

Its hard not to love Harley Quinn even if she is psychotic and would poison you for giggles.

For some reason, the first thing that came to mind, when I looked at the image of The Dark Knight eating a rat, was:

I wonder if that comes in a plushy version.

I have the oddest thoughts.

Mitchell! Indeed one of their best. To this day, whenever I pass by Mestretta Avenue, I immediately add, “AND Galanno!” (You’ll see.)

If you have a VCR, you can have my well-preserved VHS copy. Send a postal address to my email, and I’d be glad to ship it along.

I friended you. I have no friends either so it will be nice to have something other than “0” showing up everytime I logon.

(And, no, I don’t comment often. In fact I think this is my first time here. But I read you every day.)

It’s kind of neat, Fuloydo. You get little notifications when your feckless friends jump into a game 🙂
