The days are long gone when the likes of Time or Newsweek have anything other than marginal influence. This really is the same dynamic as the shark-jumping sitcoms undergo when they’ve run out of ideas. Well, that magazine cover IS a Photoshop, or whatever graphics software they use to set it up. It’s just not a sarcastic Pshop. Which is the mind boggling aspect of it — the loons are dead serious.

I thought it was a PS too, until I had it confirmed that it was the NEWSWEEK cover. My response was to make a T-Shirt with the magazine cover on it, with the Sullivan title circled in red. And a note in red below that “It’s Now OFFICIAL”. Y’all may have heard the sounds of Leftist heads exploding from the Rocky Mountains.

It seemed that the owners/editor of NEWSWEEK had scored an “own goal” of monumental proportions. I took it as a single episode and wanted to take advantage of it.

The theme of the magazine is the inevitability of the success of the gay agenda, and praise for “Teh Lightworker” for bringing about the great new pan-sexual age.

It seems that either the Leftist Elites judge that they have won, and that the American electorate [which has a pretty strong record of voting it down when given a chance] has “evolved”, or they believe that the electorate is not going to have a chance to weigh in. The first is an opportunity, the second is a warning.

The cover reminds me of the Obama “art” from some of his supporters, which often includes such features as rainbows, unicorns, open shirts with his(?) manly chest, etc. It betrays the lack of an internal editor, an inability to recognize absurdity.

If I remember correctly, the deportation of Andrew Sullivan was threatened because he got caught smoking dope in a Federal Park [literally in front of a Federal officer]. Thus the stricter Federal laws were invoked at a felony level. Under his visa, a felony conviction meant deportation. It would also in his case mean fairly quick death as his survival is based on regular dosages of anti-retroviral drugs not available under the Brit National Health Service.

Due to his political utility, and the intervention of someone high up in the DOJ; charges were dropped.
