D’awwww
Back in late June, reader rodent rescued up this beautiful beast and named her Suzie. She’d been dumped in an industrial park to fend for herself. Suzie repaid her debt by knitting this beautiful mini-me!
Then I spent some time scribbling flocked wallpaper all over them, because I can’t resist doodling on other people’s cats, and rodent’s photo was a bit dark and unfocused (Suzie, like all good mothers, tucked her infant safely into a dark box).
Just look at those baby toes. We will expect regular doses of d’awww, rodent.

As Dr. David Bowman said when he was falling in: “My God! It’s full of kittens!”

Awwwwwww! My princess has been gone a bit over a month now and I still open the front door and shout “hi!” And wait to see her come out to greet me. This being without kitteh is not so nice as being with kitteh.

Rodent, You Are Awesome! Such a beautiful feline you’ve adopted, and Kittens! May you be blessed with all the prosperity needed to care for them, with an abundance left over for yourself.

Rodent, looks like Suzie has a goodly admixture of Maine Coon in her. Longhaired cats are the best.

Sheesh, the one day I miss the evening update…
Suzie, Kitten and the rest of us thank you all for the kind words, blessings and awwww’s.
In case anyone was wondering: yes, she really only had one kitten. She picked 9am in the middle of the living room (on August 5th, Kitten was 8 days old in the pic), so we know there weren’t any lost.
That’s wonderful work fixing the pic, Stoaty, I shudder to think how long it took. I know how long it would take me: forever.
Sorry about the blurry original, I won’t use flash on the cats, so had to mix manual focus with my permanently defocused eyes.
Plus I only have a crappy old Nikon D40 to work with. 😉

Congratulations on the family addition, rodent. A single baby kitty. What a wonderful Mama, spending all that energy on one perfect baby.
Should we have a naming contest? The possibilities are almost endless. I’ll start. Assuming it’s a girl, I’ll go with “Mono Lisa”.

She looks like she could be he sister of my deeply missed Norwegian Forest Cat, Lazarus.

I recall a beautiful half-grown (i.e., already 10 pound) Maine Coon kitten I saw at a show some years ago. The breeder told me he had been the only kitten in his litter — so she named him “Solo.” (As a major “Man from U.N.C.L.E.” fan, I of course would have loved to adopt him; but he was scheduled to be a show cat, and not for sale.)
So, “Solo”?
