£1.83 per litre = $10.97 U.S. per Imperial gallon.

In truth, that’s a deliberately click-baity photo. The pic was taken on a motorway (read: Interstate highway) and motorway gas stations are a notorious ripoff.

The reason is, there are far, far fewer gas stations around here, and if you’re in an unfamiliar area (which you’re likely to be, if you’re on the motorway) you can’t risk coming off and poking around for a better deal. So they can charge what they like.

At these prices, though, it would be worth your time firing up Google Maps on your phone and trying anywhere else.

Gas is still “just” £1.54 ($9.17) at our local station. Happy days!

I hope you take the time to thank “this guy.”

Even better, order some vinyl stickers and put them all over the gasoline pumps to make sure the proper person is blamed. Because, yes, this Jackass is the incoherent, obstinate, lying party responsible.

Ah, the Costa Coffee shop, just outside are the Costa Plenty petrol pumps.

And I just ordered those stickers – I’ll be sure and use them in appropriate voting districts.

An hour ago I drove past two filling stations that generally have lower than average prices. One of them sells diesel with 10% biodiesel, and the price was $5.00/gal. The other one sells unadulterated diesel, and their price was $5.20/gal.

The last time I filled the tank of our VW diesel wagon (with the pure stuff), the price was $3.80. I’d never have imagined the price could climb so much so fast, and I believe it won’t stop skyrocketing any time soon.

To all the overbearing fascist/nazi/totalitarian abusive govt bastards who totally fscked up the world’s economic/supply system based on lying about COVID, and the same greedy power-mad bastards who are now ginning up a totally manufactured war to keep the bogus blame game going, I hope you get what you deserve: slow painful death at the hands of righteous angry mobs.

JavaMan fills up at a grocery store/gas station two miles from where we live. The price for regular has gone up 2 cents in two days, and is now $3.79/gal. The station’s diesel is $4.59—only one blend (not the agri/biz blend).

We are 80 miles from the nearest refinery, though I don’t know if my gas station’s fuel comes from that particular refinery (but it likely does). We also get a reduced price on fuel when we use our grocery store “points” which is about 40 cents a gallon discount.

We filled the diesel 200 gal farm tank today…Diesel in our county this morning was $6.21 (went up .04¢ overnight)…I’ll just drop in this apt commentary in (NSFW).
