I’m glad you had a day off. I don’t remember the fish. Is it a fish & chips kind of fish? Is it the only “fish” to adorn the blog?

I spent the morning helping to teach about 350 grade schoolers the Preamble to the Constitution (for the second day). It’s Constitution Week! And this afternoon I attended a Naturalization ceremony at the court house, and handed out DAR pamphlets on U.S. flag protocol and etiquette to the 32 new citizens. My DAR chapter has done this since the 1930s.

Yes. Because it’s a white object, I didn’t notice that I hadn’t converted it to grayscale until much later. If you look at the upper lip of the fish, you’ll see a reddish-brown patch of schmutz.

It’s the only time a color picture has appeared at the head of a post.

Yay! I’ll take “Weasel Blogs” for $1000.

I had a pet halibut, named Eric.

That’s a good point, Tim. Like engineers always pointed out to me, when you print “this page intentionally left blank” on a page, it’s no longer blank, is it?

I think it’d be good to require nominees to the Judiciary be required, during their hearings, to recite from memory, the Preamble to the Constitution. Also maybe quiz them on the Bill of Rights.
