Welp, he just lost the British vote

(They don’t want Harry back).

Could he do this? He could. Harry admitted to illegal drug use in his autobiography, which is disqualifying.

I used to hang out in a forum for Americans immigrating to the UK, and (more rarely) vice versa. People think marriage is an automatic in. It ain’t.

I remember one case of a couple who married abroad – she was British and he was American – and he wasn’t allowed into the UK because he’d done time for a felony.

Sufficient lawyering can eventually overcome a case like that. In extremis, the European Human Rights lot will probably step in if appealed to (yes, sadly, the UK is still signed up to that madness). But they don’t half put you through years of courts and hearings and long distance relationships. Earning that British passport was a very scary and expensive process.

Going the other way – UK to US – is famously even tougher.

Trump probably wouldn’t really deport Harry, though. Sad.

Still no official Royal announcement.

If they let BarryØ in for some clandestine shenanigans why wouldn’t Charles III let The Hal and the Pal back in?

I don’t think they have renounced citizenship have they? Or has he, depending on who has what allegiance…

No, I don’t think anyone has renounced citizenship. They generally won’t let you do that if it will make you a stateless person and I don’t think either of them are dual citizens.

I forgot to link to the article.

We over here don’t have to deport those skunks to get rid of them. Simply wait until they travel abroad, anywhere outside the US will do, and then refuse re-entry when they try to get back in.

Neener, I say.
Neener-neener-neener.

Not to worry.

It seems someone left Harry’s “paperwork” on the kitchen table at Immigration and it may have gotten mixed in with some bills and junk mail.
Mrs Immigration says she never saw it, or touched it. Immigration junior says he thinks he saw it there yesterday, but maybe not, and has anyone seen his Applebuds?
Mr Immigration says he was going to photo store it, but
Microsoft was doing an update on his desktop, and his IPhone ran out of battery just when he went to take a photo copy, and he thinks he put it on his desk, but it’s not there now.

So they can’t “find” Harry’s paperwork right now, which will eventually become “couldn’t find it, so sorry please”.

I might add, no one will question how the fabulously expensive automated system we probably paid for doesn’t work right, or suggest that the Immigration people are either lying, or incompetent, or both, and they will pretend we’re still using some arcane paper based system utilizing Rolodexes and index cards filed in library card catalogue like cabinets stored in a musty basement somewhere in Washington.
