Is this a tradition now?

As you probably guessed from yesterday’s guest bench, we were in a place called Littlestone in Kent. This is pretty far outside our territory and we haven’t been here in years, but I’m going stir crazy at home.

I’m not taking retirement well.

A number of the coastal benches – but not all! – were decorated like this. I thought it probably had to do with a significant anniversary of the person the bench is dedicated to, but a number of them all at once? They all looked pretty fresh.

Counterproductive. Who would dare sit on a memorial bench covered in flowers and toys?

Well, depending on what the “toys” were, probably a WNBA player?

This is one of those areas where others’ suggestions usually are quite silly, mine included.

You might combine your art with your interest in things historical and produce memes ridiculing figures from the past. People such as Napoleon, or Mussolini, or Joseph Goebbels, or Neville Chamberlain, or Simón Bolívar. You could be the progenitor of a new genre!

Chairman Mousy Dung is just crying out for the Nast treatment.

Well, I think it’s very nice of dead people to arrange a place for the living to come and visit the quiet of most cemeteries. No having to mince about to avoid “walking on graves”. Just plop yourself down and perhaps write a sad song like “Green Fields of France/Willie McBride/No Mans Land”.

And thus beats some enterprising twit stocking notes to our mailboxes like some official person telling us all to pay $35 to have our house number painted on the curb so the rescue services and delivery trucks can ” find our houses”.
Irritating because I put reflective metal numbers hard attached to the curb in front of our house, and these bozos STILL stuck a document on my mailbox….twits.

Ask me how I feel 😹
