Merry Solstice!

These are the scrotes spray painting Stonehenge orange. Security at Stonehenge is very tight. As with the art gallery incidents, this had to be done with the collusion of the venue. And, in all likelihood, even higher levels. They probably even had consultation about the nature of the paint and how to insure it did no real damage.

The question is – why? Everyone hates these shitbags and fervently hopes they get hurt or jailed for it. It does nothing for their cause. Just – why?

Anyway, we got ourselves invited to a solstice party tonight, so I’m off. Have a great weekend.

p.s. From here, the nights start drawing in.

Where’s a platoon of Marines when you need ’em? I don’t know what the worst prison in the UK is, but that’s where I’d put those vandals.

For the first time since we’ve lived here, I took “landmark” bearings at sunrise to note how far north the sun was.

Why? TPTB are pushing the edge of the envelope. Or in today’s jargon, enlarging the Overton Window. Yes, these scrotes go too far, but that makes zealots who don’t go quite that far seem OK. Of course, they aren’t OK. They all ought to be tried and if convicted then be sentenced to get forehead tattoos that say CAUTION: CRIMINALLY BAD JUDGMENT.

They are for sure being backed by the ‘elites’ to make taking our quality of life and liberties away seem like a popular ‘movement’.

Kind of ironic that most spray paint is petroleum based.

And how did these selfrightious assholes GET to Stonehenge, eh? Horseback? Ox and wagon? Eh?

If these asshats are sincere they should shun all aspects of power in modern life that might be using fossil fuels.
No electricity, no refrigeration, no water delivered by pumps powered by electricity or fossil fuels.
Just those will be sufficient.
They also can’t use power secondhand by letting someone else commit the sin they complain of.

They’ll be dead of starvation, dehydration or infection in 2 weeks.

The protestors are emotional creatures. They don’t think; they just want to feel. They came to Stonehenge because they believe it a symbol of a primitive life free of the complications of our modern machine-filled world. Wild Druids worshiping trees and dancing naked at the Solstice.

The irony is that it never occurs to them that recognizing and calculating the Solstice is a remarkable act of science, and that building Stonehenge was a remarkable act of political organization, logistics, and engineering. Stonehenge is more a symbol foreshadowing mankind’s future than a relic of his past.

If these kids really want to return to a time where they can be Rousseau’s ‘noble savages’ unfettered from the slavery of civilization, they’re going to have to revert a lot farther into primitive history than the 5,000 years ago.

The collaborators get to enjoy the thrill of transgression (‘Ooh, look how naughty we are as we épater les bourgeois!’) with little likelihood of encountering any consequences.

I’m not normally in favour of lapidation but it seems fitting for this.
