Night visitor

hedgie

Did I tell you I got a four-camera surveillance system for my b’day? It’s essentially to replace the wildlife camera, which broke. I’ve had a high old time watching…moths, mostly. Oh, I’ve had fun, but this is the first really cool thing I’ve caught.

Hedgehog!

Last night. Only the second one in almost ten years. They’re getting rare, sadly. This one stuck his nose under a sack of coal and decided he was completely hidden and safe. I left him a tribute of cat food and came back to find him tucking in (pictured).

p.s. just went out and nearly stepped on him. Or another one. Hard to say, but this one might have been smaller.

Yes, we’ll probably stay up until the election returns start trickling in. Not with much enthusiasm. This is a choice between bad and really fucking awful.

A commenter on American Thinker said ” it’s a choice between being boiled in hot water or oil. Both are equally unpleasant and both result in death.” Well, that about sums it all up.

Hedgehogs are awfully cute. I can understand why people would want one for a pet.

FOUR cameras! That Uncle Badger sure knows the way to a Weasel’s heart.

There is a wild turkey that lives in the neighborhood. He is a wily old bird, knows about sight lines, and how to hide. He walked through my yard, but I didn’t see him soon enough to get a picture.

I would like to get one of those game cameras. Maybe two, ok three.

I’ve been playing around with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (cloud version). Lightroom I can us. Photoshop is confusing as hell; there is a lot to remember. The online video tutorials are a big help.

For the poop people, aoshq ont featured a video on a sloth pooping. Apparently, they only do it once a week and it is massive. Not sure why they cant be like goats who have a water fall of little pellets coming out of their heinies. Seems like they have similar diets.

Skandia, look into Photoshop Elements. A bit easier to use and pretty powerful.

And about half of England decides to stick with what it knows doesn’t work in favor of – eh, who knows.

And then there’s the Jihad.

Plenty of rural land in Texas, we’ll leave the porch light on.

Happy Friday all. Just wanted to share that earlier in the week I observed Iron Man, The Joker, and Jack Sparrow all getting stoned. Right out on the street in front of the sleazy Planet Hollywood hotel/casino. Las Vegas…

No hedgehogs around here, but tonight I encountered a skunk just outside the front door. Everything stayed calm as I slipped inside, thankfully.

Beware: more than one link in a comment is apt to earn you a trip to the spam filter, where you will remain -- cold, frightened and alone -- until I remember to clean the trap. But, hey, without Akismet, we'd be up to our asses in...well, ass porn, mostly.
