Boo!

Thirty one! I did it!

Hope you have fun Halloween plans. There’s a little observance here, but mostly the celebration of Halloween is regarded as an American impertinence.

I mean, the trick or treat and all that. Obviously, All Hallows Eve is not American.

Back to my usual bullshit tomorrow!

Brava! Brava!

Excellent finale, nicely à propos for the day!

This month of Inktober has been grandly enjoyable, Mme. Ermine. Even so, I’m looking forward to tomorrow and the return of the usual used cattle feed.

I should perhaps add that The Weasel mostly associates with old fossils and general reactionary riff-raff. My observation is that most kids and the general public both enjoy and take part in Halloween.

That said, when this old fossil was growing up, almost no one over here had even heard of it. It is a fairly recent import.

Hope everyone had as great a Halloween as I did! I don’t want to brag, but I got a lot of candy in my first few stops, and then a nice policeman gave me a ride back to my house! He was cool. He even asked if the cuffs were too tight!

A splendid month of hands and feets, Stoaty. I enjoyed the drawings enormously. (Side bar: I have no particular beef with Jenner Jenner, but Jenner Jenner’s attempts to transition to female fell short with the hands, which remain distinctly masculine.)

P.S. If you don’t mind, could you re-post the image you created of Che Guevara wearing the Bernie Sanders t-shirt. It’s time for us to get that back into circulation. I did not use it often enough before, but I have a renewed sense of urgency.

I’m a bit late, but congrats on a really unusual and interesting Inktober. I loved the chikkens, but this year’s drawings were out. there. in a very good way.

I live on a rural road where trick or treating would be near impossible, long drives with livestock/security gates, no street lights of course. So forty years ago a few neighbors cobbled together a hay wagon and it’s be going on ever since. Our road loops back on itself so it’s a perfect, safe venue for a hayride caravan.

Anyhoo, over the years we’ve pulled in a couple of adjacent rural roads. We had about 150 kids with 8 tractors pulling wagons and flat bed trailers stuffed with hay adults & kiddos, and a dozen side-by-sides decked out with lights and spooky music.

One leaves a basket of candy and a light on a hay bale or some such at the end of the drive; the caravan stops, kiddos leap out and hoover the candy up. The way home passes through a heavily wooded private lane that we deck out with spooks, swooping skeltons, vampires, webs and such…I even squeed a couple of times and the kiddos loved it.

Then it’s back to the host’s barn for hot chocolate, mulled wine and pot luck horses douvers. A good time was had by all and we were happily ensconced in our beds by 9 PM.

You DID do that Stoaty, and it is outstanding. Thank you for the link.

By the way, did you read that Sabo, the LA artist who is definitely not a leftist, had his PalPal account frozen for six months for his politically incorrect artwork.
