Oh, boy, have I got some chickens for you!
We went for a drive in the country today, on our way to pick up our (perfectly enormous) turkey, and we found THIS. People, these things are *big*. They look like wireframe and paper, but surely that can’t be in a country as wet as this. I’ll bet my next paycheck they light up at night.
In total, I counted ten giant paper birds (of which, four chickens). ‘Scuse bad cellphone pic. Let me give you a sense of scale.

Uncle Al, you could always choose his wife’s concern for the abuse her husband has to endure in his vegitative state as he mumbles, creates new words from whole cloth and mis-remembers (invents) historical incidents for himself.

My mama keeps talking about moving in with us. Hubby and I are actually looking forward to this. And then my sister called me and said “how many of her chicken “dolls” can she bring?’” She has a LARGE number of carved/art chickens that sit on top of her cabinets and on a lot of shelves. A lot of them are from Native American carvers/artists (she lives in AZ) and quite a few of them are quite valuable. I said “two.” God help me but I’m hoping she just agrees to consign every damn one of them. I am not a chicken doll household!!!

Yikes! I thought they were charming in the B&W photo..but the scale is…I dunno how to describe it. Eyesore comes to mind. They’d be fine in the garden at Chatsworth.
