Musta thought I needed it
This came through my mail slot at work today. Alas, it turns out the Apostolic Fellowship of Christ is a tame lot of serious Bible scholars. I was hoping for something fun and nutty.
There are a surprising number of odd Protestant denominations around here. Lots of Jehovah’s Witnesses, for example. The Strict and Particular Baptists, though I think they’re more of a historic footnote now.
Uncle B says it’s because the Church of England was for toffs. Rural working people wanted something different for themselves.
Oh, WORDLE 282 really pissed in my corn flakes today. I couldn’t believe my luck when my first guess had four hits. I couldn’t contain my rage when it took me four tries to get the correct first letter.

That’s happened to me before (didn’t with this one–my pattern of hits was sporadic). Note that there are actually SEVEN letters that would have worked for the first letter. . .so actually, getting it at all was a stroke of luck.

I ended a long streak in a similar situation – four trailing letters correct and leading letter missed over and over. I looked up to the sky and cussed!!! If you are interested in a similar game that you can lose more than win, try worldle (sorry too lazy to link). I realize now how geographically ignorant I am.

Oh, yeah, I’ve noticed that: If you get a lot of letters early on and you’re playing the strict mode, you can be worse off because so many words can end with the same four letters. It becomes random chance if you pick the right one before time is up.
If you’re not playing strict, you just have to find a word that combines as many of the possible remaining letters, of course.
