He discovered my mummified rat collection
My kitchen is in my livingroom! Today, we had someone in to begin giving the kitchen a thorough going over. The worksurfaces are all pine, which has held up rather well, except behind the taps. Rotted right through.
Then he found more rot underneath – on the joists holding the sink up! And underneath that, my mummified rat collection.
He’s doing a good job. Scavenging materials from other jobs. Bits of my old chicken house. Man after my own heart.
But boy does it suck to live with at the moment.
