Obama won by the free-shit army, massive voter fraud, and a lot of help from his buds in Silicon Valley. Google set up a war room for them. Then,he had the brown shirt goons from the IRS intimidating opposition and their donors.

I despair. If ‘our own side’ (WTF that means) is too purblind, too stupid and too reflexively authoritarian to understand that the government (US and UK) has been caught actively conspiring against the people it is meant to serve, then, frankly, we either push them off the sledge too, or we just give up.

Let me put this in simple language. It does not matter a flying one who or what leaked what the Obama junta has been doing. Even if the leaker was a transvestite Martian paedophile, with a freshly stamped communist party membership card endorsed by Obama Bin Laden, Lon Chaney Jnr and Senator M. Mouse, the fact is that both the US and UK governments have been caught red-handed in a conspiracy against their own citizens.

That is all we need to know and the trials should commence forthwith.

And seeing how everyone in D.C., no matter which side of the aisle they are on, are not challenging him. Nothing but crickets. He must have the goods on all of them.

I find it helps if you realize the republic is past saving. All the scandals do is demonstrate how right you are. Its too late, our last, desperate, foolish hope was for Obama to lose this last election. Foolish and desperate because Romney almost certainly would have done the same thing, or at least not done enough to reverse it.

Its over. Done. The US is just gasping on the bank of the river of liberty now, its last breaths wheezing on the pages of newspapers and on the screen of your TV.

Once you reach that point, the scandals and stuff just don’t bother you any more. Its no less than you expect.

I remember vapor lock, Tom. It’s when a plug of vaporized fuel blocks the flow of liquid fuel, isn’t it? It’s what happens when you abuse the choke on startup. Or am I confusing it with flooding?

Does it count if I used to know what vapor lock was? I do remember a can of compressed ether sprayed somewhere under the hood (its high volatility ridding the locked bits of water vapor) was a quick remedy.

Some of the Mercedes of the mid-1970s, the SLs with a tightly packed engine compartment that included the catalytic converter (!), used to experience vapor lock. The solution was to let it cool or to spray water on the fuel lines, so AliceH’s remedy sounds like it would work too.

RE: scandals – Recall what happened in Europe after the Great (economic) Depression. And what was going on just before….

Those ol’ Chebby 235 sixes had the fuel line running right over the front of the block, just above the water pump & in front of (& some times touching) the valve cover. On a hot summer day you could hear my screams of frustration for miles.

I caught one of those big old southern snapping turtles once. It cased me all the way to my car.

When you have this many government scandals, it’s time to start referring to them by what this really is: A crime wave.
