Holy toast!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Vermont Novelty Toaster Corporation. Your message here.

I see Obama and Bob Dobson and a fleur de lis and a crab and a Star of David and, hey, looks like it’s 4:20 if you wanted to spark a doobie. And if you’ve already sparked a doobie, check out their awesome whirly toast dingus. You can make the toast go ’round and ’round and ’round…

Yeah, sorry for the novelty toast blogging. I’ve been watching the news today (and every day lately) with that “everything’s going to shit” feeling and I just know instinctively these issues don’t call for my special brand of retarded bullshit. So have a little untopical freelance retarded bullshit, on the house.

Hey, I was torn between novelty toast and baby meerkat.

There’s a Blessed Virgin Mary. What are you, some kind of Catholic hater?

You can never go wrong with a baby meerkat, especially in a week like this one.

Hit the link, then. It’s from a zoo in Wiltshire.

Brits are absolutely potty for meerkats. All the garden centers have meerkat sculptures for the lawn. There is an advertisement for insurance (I think) featuring animated meerkats. I don’t know if that started the craze or is symptomatic of it.

You said, no Jesus Toast?
OF COURSE, there’s Jesus Toast. Jesus!

http://www.burntimpressions.com/jesus-toasters.php

But, supplies ARE limited… I’d buy one right away, secure in the knowledge that you can return it after three days.

Ya call that a picture of Our Blessed Lord and Savior? Looks more like a squashed bug. No, not suitable at all, I’m afraid.

Sanrio makes a Hello Kitty toaster. I expect to find it under the tree some Christmas.

Sad news about Johnny Winter. How’s Ginger Baker’s tour going?

What in the world is Crowley Toast?
Am I the last person to know? I’m always late to the party.

Crowley toast.

Ah haha ha. I remember that post (but that was before chemotherapy). I thought maybe Crowley toast was French toast prepared by some famous chef named Crowley! In which case, I wanted the recipe.

“I thought maybe Crowley toast was French toast prepared by some famous chef named Crowley!”

I wish Brits did call French toast “Crowley toast”, vs. the appetite-destroying “eggy bread”. On the other hand, I embrace “courgette” instead of “zucchini”, but that might just be because it suggests the squash was picked young.

Baby meerkat for the win. The photoshop of a baby meerkat eating novelty toast COB suggested has a lot going for it, however.
