Happy T’day!
We got our Chromecast thingie going! MST3K for Weasels! (You too — click the pic).
Chromecast works fine, but we have rights issues with lots of streaming content. Sometimes I think the people selling stuff on the internet don’t get the whole ‘internet’ thing.

Do they have “Black Friday” sales in the UK? Seems unlikely.
Damn good thing, if you ask me.

They do. And, bless they hearts, they don’t know why.

To clarify, we get so much US TV and see so many US films that we have started to borrow your holidays, too. Twenty five years ago the only people who observed Halloween were wannabe witches, Thanksgiving is very slowly making the Atlantic crossing and Black Friday (driven by desperate retailers) has been growing for the past four or five years.
It’s too early in the day to say how successful BF has been, this year Pictures in the morning newspapers here showed a major shopping mall in Manchester absolutely empty this morning. No doubt PR drones will be busily concocting huge figures to prove what a triumph it was.
Now, can I interest you in Boxing Day…?

I like the 4 am scrums at Target, myself. There’s no substitute for class.

Due to raging colds, we stayed home this year, thus were free from turkey tyranny…we had rack of lamb, roasted root veg tossed with buttery quinoa and a spinach salad w/ pears, toasted walnuts and pomegranate seeds. Then we danced. No, not really…then we piled into a warm, cosy 3-dog bed and read until we fell asleep. We had the pecan pie for brekkie.
Perfect.
You couldn’t pay me to go to mall this weekend…or pretty much anytime. I’m mostly an online shopper. I mean, c’mon what could better than having things delivered to your door?
