Forty thousand of your English pounds

It’s a beach hut. Some of them are very nice and, with the weather we get, it’s not a bad idea to have a place you can duck out of a sudden squall.

This one looks like it has a gas ring and plenty of storage. I understand my in-laws owned one and made a large profit on it some years ago.

Alas, the sea has a habit of eating them.

Rejoice! It is the weekend!

WOW! There’s a whole row of them!

… +$55,461.23 (which I assume includes unalienable rights to the rocky, pebbled seashore) seems a bit pricey (unless the unit could be rented out for +$1,000/day during season).

Location Location Location.

Also, curb appeal.

There were loads of those, all side by each, a couple inches between, along the shingle in Felixstowe when I lived there. I suppose it beats sitting in your Morris Minor in the car park, staring out the windscreen at the sea wall.

Peasants! That beach front belongs to rich people! Push off!

Does the beach hut owner pay a lease for a spot on the beach?

I get the premise, but that’s a lot of ₤ for no where to pee.

In the late 40’s Mom and Dad and their friends, each bought small platform tent cabins on the water at South Lake Tahoe for $500 each…it was heaven for us kiddos! However, Mom was not an outdoorsy, roughing-it kind of gal. A few years later they sold it for $5000 and were well pleased with the profit. You guessed it, Bill Harrah bought the whole stretch and the rest, as they say, is history.

“Beach hut” my culo! That’s a cabaña.

The purists pronounce it cah-BAH-nyah
Say it “wrong” and they’ll look down upon ya
But cuh-BAN-uh’s OK
Whatever they say
We’re in Florida, not in España.

By the sea, by the sea,
by the beautiful sea
You and I, you and I
Oh how happy we’ll be

I long to be beside
Your side beside
The sea beside the sea side
By the beautiful sea

And Dr Falsy has mandated that if you wear 4 bathing suits it’s perfectly okay to pee in the water.

It’s been a year since we agreed to be sheep for 15 days to flatten the curve, I’ll stop there, there’s not enough room on this blog for the ranting that would follows.

@Uncle Al

Dan:Didn’t fancy my (tuna) sandwiches?

Alice:Don’t eat fish.

Dan: Why not?

Alice:Fish piss in the sea.

Dan:So do children.

Alice:Don’t eat children either.” -Closer (2004)

Say no more.

Closer may be the sexiest movie made without an actual sex scene…it flirts with the viewer right from the opening scene. Not family friendly/NSFW

Bearwhiz Beer
Where does it get it’s distinctive flavor?
As my pappy used to say, ‘It’s in the water son!”
