Good plan! And a very appealing cat there, too.

I don’t need a cat picture to look at because our all-black cat (name of Dixie, heh-heh-heh) and I take turns looking at each other. Half the time she’s behind my head on the back of my easy chair watching my fingers and mouse as potential prey, and the other half she’s stretched out on the toy box in front of me under the window sill. Very pleasant, especially because it was half past rye about an hour ago.

p.s. Dixie’s sister, the sweetest nicest tuxedo you’ll ever meet, is named Killer.

Resting Cat Pose—my favorite yoga position.

Cats and dogs resting can be very calming. Particularly if they share their space with you.

Most enjoyable when they amble over, climb on you and declare in their silent way “we both need a nap”.

Well, a little less calming when your Great Dane lap dog tries that, but sacrifices must be made on occasion to find your resting pet chi.

My girl (@ Uncle Al- also named Dixie) has been gone almost 7 years now. I miss her but I don’t miss the liter scattered across the floor and the fur balls everywhere.

@s.weasel…oh my girl was wicked smart! She had me well trained by the time she died! She was a stunningly good looking girl…gorgeous orange, perfect stripes, the most beautiful paws I’ve ever seen on a cat. She ruled the roost. I miss her terribly.

Last spring a sweet little stripy cat came begging for food. She promptly presented us with five kittens. Only two survived the rigors of living outside. She had the kitten nest so far under a storage container that we couldn’t reach them, but Fox did. The two survivors are tuxedos, Honk & Fronk…they are the cutest fluffy balls of energy. Mama Kitty wasn’t a feral but dumped and left to starve, so she is still not entirely trusting, especially after being trapped and neutered. I hates people who dump cats in the country. I hope there is a special place in Hell for them.
