Behold!

The worst chicken house ever bodged together by human hands. Yes, the roof doesn’t align, like, at all. Yes, the door is held shut by a twisted bit of wire (it was fully 1/8th of an inch too tall to fit in the frame).

Finally, I called Uncle B out and we hit it with hammers until it submitted. I’m not done ‘finishing’ it, but I have a feeling we’ll be covering the roof in tarpaper. Honestly, it could not possibly have gone together the way the ‘instructions’ said it would.

Moe will be warm and dry and have a proper perch to sleep upon, so I’m calling it a win.

As for the red wave that didn’t, I haven’t much to say – except that it is extremely unusual for the betting shops to get it this wrong. Pollsters, yes. People with money on the line, not so much. I think we’re in uncharted waters and the old rules no longer apply – for whatever reason.

I’m’a dip out of politics for a while, until I can act less butt-hurt.

Welp, GenZ pulled the Dems fat out of the fire so we’ll be stuck paying off their student loans.

I knew we wuz done when the tabulators failed in Arizona and the officials said not to worry the ballots would be placed in boxes and taken downtown for counting.

Leave ballots, take the cannoli.

Looks like when I build knocked-down furniture.
(Did everything need to be put together with an allen wrench?)

No, it was all screws, Fert – but they did give me a screwdriver!

Lumpy Fetterman getting elected says cheating, or largely unhinged electorate. I suppose that “or” shouldn’t be treated as an exclusive “or”. That way it can be viewed as an “and” because I’m confident both of those things are true.

I didn’t think we were voting our way out if this before, and now I’m almost completely convinced. We have to continue with the ballot box charade however, so future generations will eventually understand if it does come down to cartridge boxes.

I’m really disappointed in Pennsylvania – electing Fetterman? What. The. Hell. And electing a dead guy – but I understand that: he was on the ballot, running pretty much unopposed, and died of cancer. So – they will have a special election in the spring, fair enough. But Fetterman? FETTERMAN? Holee shite, the dems like to elect the mentally handicapped. I guess their voting base can relate.

Yeah, I’m pretty much done with politics for a while, too. Hard to get excited about trying to improve the country when half of the country appears to be insane. Besides, if I keep winding myself up about this stuff, I’ll turn into Tim Pool and start spewing the CW phrase every 5 minutes. Ugh.

Democrat Congressman Tony Deluca, dead for a month Gets 85% of the vote in Pennsylvania.

My previous comment is proved.
Well we couldn’t change the ballot!!!!….and your voters were too stupid to know the guy they were voting for is dead.

My question on the coop – was it made in China? That might explain a lot.

Tim – yes, I’m afraid it was. And whoever made it deserves to have to live in it.

That’s much nicer than the ones in Kowloon, they don’t have screen doors on the front porch…

The original picture looked so nice. A veritable palace for a rooster…

Looks down at picture, looks up at result, back and forth, until cursing, just walking away. It definitely needs some tarpaper. Give it that homey touch.

Great. China. Watch for weird bugs boring out of the wood. And toxic chemicals used during the manufacture.

Never in a million years would I have ever thought a chicken coop would come from a kit. Thought they were all made from scrap wood lying around, or maybe the best ones designed on the back of a napkin. I suggest getting a saw, a jackplane, a level and a carpenter’s square, taking the thing apart and rebuilding it properly, measuring and trimming as you go.
