To all those who observe
For some reason, my camera flat refused to focus on the world’s smallest pumpkin. I guess fire is more exciting.
I hesitate to ask if anyone has Halloween plans. I suspect, like ourselves, my readership is largely composed of dessicated fossils.

I live in a largely adult community. Not a 55+ but it might as well be. We’ll get a few kids come round…a few neighborhood kids, neighbor’s grandkids, the landscaper’s kids but few is the operative word. We’ll turn the lights off by 7:30 and spend the rest of the evening with an adult libation and the leftover candy. We always make sure to buy a massive bag so there is plenty of leftover candy.

I’ll be donning my horns-and-blood, priest’s collar, severed feet hanging from my waist, and other assorted festive adornments and seeing how many folks I can frighten in an evening. The double-takes are especially entertaining when stopped at a traffic light.
I’m 58, and have owned this particular set of black and twisted horns since ’94. A lot of folks have come to expect to see me out-n-about on All Hallows’ Eve, and some even get upset if I don’t make it ’round their location/party. A great and fun tradition!

We’ll be doing a Trunk or Treat and chili cook at the church. My elder two are not such jaded teens that they won’t hit both the Trunk or Treat as well as the neighborhood to load up on candy. And the elementary school kid is way into her costume, we spend several hours pulling it together. I don’t like posting my kids photos online but its very cute,her mom and her worked diligently.
