Ahhhh….

B took this snapshot today: my best hen having herself a nice old-fashioned dustbath in the vegetable bed. Happy, happy chicken.

It was perfect today. Sunny, light breeze, temps around 70. When England does a Summer day, it’s quite a thing.

Okay, okay…Spring. And, okay, yes…I spent it indoors arting around. But, hey, I have a window!

Awesome start to my long weekend. Hope the spiritual among us had a good Good Friday, and the rest of us a mere good Friday. Have a blessed weekend to go with it!

Happy Easter y’all!
May you indeed be blessed this weekend and every one that comes after!

There’s yet another Pomchi puppy (sister to Pomchi prime) at castle Durned.
So there will be continuous food and Durnedyankee puppy napping (that’s me, and the puppies) on the porch this weekend.

(Someone is going to try making goat curry, wish us luck)

@Durned…Oooo I am so jealous, it’s been two years since we had a puppy…now we just have three flavors of Springer rowdy; teenager, middle-age crisis and elder statesman.

Inquiring minds want to know; why goat curry? One suspects an interesting back story lurking about.

@BJM –
I was really only curious to see if goat curry was a common thing over there across the pond because I had a very nice goat curry almost 2 weeks ago at local hole in the wall Indian restaurant.

I am the only family member who will eat “weird” food with any reliability (balsamic ice cream being one of the ones MrsDurned still makes frowny faces over, her loss).

And so a packet of medium curry mix jumped into the cart at the Korean H-Mart (way to lazy to do it properly) and it needed a meat. Then the local Winco had frozen Ozzy goat, cubed, bone in, so it’s exactly like the Indian served version.

For a package mix, it’s a very nice curry and I’m looking forward to having some tomorrow for lunch, or possibly tonight for supper.

Goat Curry, when suggested to 80% of the people I work with or 99% of those I live with, evokes a response one would expect if I had issued a “let’s go eat some worms” challenge.

OH!

And a very happy Birthday to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.

Long live your Queen!

(Late I realize, but by now the British should be used to Americans showing up late. The sentiment is nevertheless heartfelt. )
