You monsters! What have you done?

Same country show. I’m going to assume this is part of a game where water was squirted at Der Führer, but there was nobody near it. I mean, the disembodied Adolph head was dripping wet and it wasn’t raining. That’s my theory and I’m sticking with it.

I don’t think it was for sale, anyway.

Anyway?
Does that mean you’d have considered buying it?

Maybe the water was from people “pfttttting” right in der Fuhrer’s face.

I wonder when the LiV kids and adults will be disabused of the progressive-inspired notion that Der Führer was “right wing” rather than a socialist authoritarian autocratic dictator of the proto-communist left…

I think if you are an American and aren’t a military brat, WW2 is a remote event. I mean for the general US population, it’s history. For military kids, not so remote. I grew up in Europe because of WW2. I come from a long line of military people. I married a military man. Europe was directly effected by the war and has a closer memory to it. I’m intrigued by the recent (well in the last 15 years or so) “loss of memory” that Europe seems to have.
Husband and I were in Munich several years ago and were shocked at the native Germans joining the Muslim imports in a demonstration against Israel. Not just the young blond haired, blue eyed youth shouting and walking in the demonstration….the old ones- my parents age-standing on their balconies, running out of the stores, all with raised arms shouting “kill the Jews.”
Imma go out on a limb (not far out, mind you) and say modern Europe (and by extension, the UK) ain’t that far removed from the horrors of WW2.

Did this “water” have a yellow tint?

We have visitors from abroad right now (Japan) and so visited the Kennedy 6th Floor Museum here in Dallas. Our guests are old enough to remember the shock of the assassination, but for their kids (and most American kids for that matter) there’s no difference between Napoleon, Jesus, George Washington or John Kennedy. They are all fantasy characters in a vague soup of “stuff from school”. Hitler is no different than the Devil to them, and they don’t believe that the Devil is real.

That Hitler head may as well be Porky Pig to them.

Hitler?

US school kids think the War of Independence and the US Civil War involved the same parties and are the same war> If they know those were two different wars, they are pretty sure the second one involved the NAZIs.

How about the people who believe Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat, a significant portion of that party’s voters.

It’s nice to think the history player isn’t on repeat, but, it probably is.

If the Nazis hadn’t bombed Pearl Harbor we could have stayed out of the whole thing! [/sarc]
