Exciting!

We went to Aldi today. It’s the action adventure I’ve been longing for.

The precautions are all but gone. Nobody stood at the door to let us in one at a time. The floor markers were there for social distancing, but people largely ignored them. There was sanitizer. If you wanted it. Whatevs.

Just afterwards, Uncle B went to Waitrose and said the atmosphere was much more tense and the rituals more enforced. I don’t know if it’s a class thing or an age thing, but there you go.

That’s not our Aldi. It looks like ours, but that picture is from the Pittsburgh Gazette. It’s probably just a publicity shot, not a store in Pittsburgh. You can tell because it’s not on fire.

Speaking of which, please don’t let the trust fund babies burn America down. I may never go back, but I take some comfort knowing it’s there to go back to.

Schwartz György is funding the terrorism through Antifa. He yearns for the “good old days” of his Messiahs – Lenin and Stalin, as do many of his bruthas and sistas in the tribe. Of course, they are also playing on the East side of the Pond with the Brexit fooforaw. They intend to get their One World Government “utopia.” BAMN.

Nope. It’s all gotta go because The System Is Broken. Or so I’ve been told by people who break things.

My closest ALDI is 629 miles away, though it’s probably burned down.

Antifa is calling for riots in white suburbs tonight. I wonder how many libs who bought into the canard that it is easier to buy a gun than Sudafed went to a gun store since the rioting began, and discovered that due to background checks and waiting periods they couldn’t take possession.

Asshats.

Texas is wide open now. I was walking my daily constitutional along the river and encountered a fascinating man out with his two dogs. We walked together for roughly an hour talking philosophy of all things. Neither of us wore a mask. When we reached the point where our paths separated, he reached out to shake hands…. and I shook it. It was special somehow . Haven’t died yet and it’s literally been hours!

Greetings from still locked down Boston! Well, it’s locked down for us plebes. ANTIFA and BLM apparently were given the go ahead to riot and loot last night as long as they wore masks. I can’t shop but ANTIFA can loot.

11 weeks until we head south

I’m in College Station; JavaMan is in the hospital.I don’t think Aggies do riots except maybe to bust them up.

@Armybrat — All of us down here in Florida are anxiously awaiting your arrival! You’ll be just down the highway a few exits and we really do have to find the time to eye each other warily over coffee or the adult beverages of our choosing.

And Florida should still be here, at least for the most part. There were a few trouble spots but nothing to compare to many other places. Perhaps one of the reasons can best be illustrated by Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, who went on the news yesterday and said,

The people in Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns, and if you try to break into their homes to steal, to set fires, I’m highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns.

Polk County is the area around Lakeland, east of Tampa. Just up the highway a few exits. (-:

@BJM…I’ve read several comments around the blogs that there should be a lot of good deals on second-hand guns after this silliness wears itself out. Some might even still have the price tag attached.

What excitement to see a photo of an Aldi store on the blog. My daughter is an Aldi District Manager in Nashville. Very proud of my 26 year-old; managing 5 stores and over 110 employees. Side note: as an essential service during the Chinese Lung Aids scourge Aldi, along with all other grocery stores, never closed. I was curious how all her employees fared. My daughter reports not one employee caught the bug despite working every day for months exposed to the unclean masses. Take that Fauci!

Open Texas- about three weeks ago.
We’re having ‘dirt work’ done on the land we bought in East Texas so we can get a slab poured, etc. When I met the young gentleman who ran the earth moving company, as we stepped out of our trucks I asked if we were ‘social distancing’.

He smiled and said “I’m not” and I replied “good, because I’m not either” and we both stuck out our paws and shook hands like men are supposed to do when they meet.

Mrs D and I are still alive and kicking.

Trust fund babies – Yes, America, where you can be arrested for not wearing your mask, not social distancing, or trying to run your business.
But you can burn half a block down and loot the stores and walk away Scot-free (No, Karen, that’s NOT an ethnic slur, look it up.)

I’d say this won’t go on much longer, but most of us were alive to watch the protests and marches of the 60’s and early 70’s (the 70’s really aren’t a decade of their own, because the first 4 years were just extra innings for the 60’s).

The gripes have changed some, but the behaviors haven’t.
And outside, paid, agitators are out there.
We’ll see if Mr Palindrome Soros funnels money to these ‘organizations’ now that they’ve been labeled terrorists.
Actually, they’re anarchists.

People I know in Bay State suburbs are not “protesting”, which is great so they’re not on fire, but are posting a black square in “solidarity” with BLM. Except that one person scolded them that’s not enough and they have to hashtag correctly or it’s not virtuous enough.
I’m feeling like the nope nope nope octopus gif.
