Hmmm…

We went to a country fair this weekend, and this was one of the booths. I looked it up and this outfit has been around since 1995, but I wonder if there’s any acknowledgement that business has been booming lately. They haven’t put out a press release in two years.

Meanwhile, just when you think Biden’s team couldn’t be more politically inept, today’s student loan announcement is just right. Ten grand isn’t enough to help anyone with serious student loan debt (who were plumping for blanket forgiveness), but it’s way enough to piss off anyone who didn’t go to college, didn’t take out loans of paid off their loans the painful way.

Bad feelings all around! And all for the low, low price of $300 billion!

Finally, I gather we have a Dead Pool winner. Lavendergirl has tragically taken another life: Len Dawson cut down at 87. I have time to gin up enthusiasm for Friday, so see you back in two days!

Money raised in the Ben Hammond Memorial Fund will be used to screen young people, aged 14-35

I do hope that the screening includes as one of the first medical history questions, “Have you had any COVID-19 shots, and if so which shot(s) and when?”

(I cannot in good conscience call it a vaccine.)

BTW, talking about that CCP virus (a/k/a “SARS-CoV-2”). Based on the fact that I’m 73, 40 lbs overweight, would be diabetic if my numbers got just a little higher, and smoke cigarettes, I’ve been taking vitamin D3, Zinc, and Ivermectin (veterinary injectable taken by mouth) since late last year (I was 72 then). Even so, a few months ago I began feeling flu-ish and the home COVID-19 test said POSITIVE. I contacted one of the online doctor groups and got prescriptions for human Ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and Azithromycin. It took two days to fill those, but in the meantime all my symptoms were quite mild except for about six hours of body aches the likes of which I didn’t know existed. But after those six hours, I felt fine, and just had a mild cough, and a change to my existing tinnitus. I did take the full course of the meds to be on the cautious side. A few weeks afterward I did go to the lab and have an antibody test which confirmed that I did get, in fact, a case of the CCP virus. (A previous test ten months earlier was negative).

I say all this so that you can add one more anecdote to the already large body of anecdotes of people who had the same experience I did. NB: a large and growing collection of “anecdotes” becomes “data” even though TPTB dismiss it all as unverified and so unworthy of consideration.

So take your pills, my friends. They certainly helped a high risk case such as mine!

Not to mention asshat’s Speaker of The House just recently said the Spongejoe doesn’t have the authority to forgive debt.

But hey, it’s the Barack Obama school of “do whatever I flocking want because I’m President” driving this train to ruin, not that moron eating Maypo in the Oval Office.

Uncle Al, I too started taking a daily regimen of zinc, vitamin D3 and C and quercetin all based on the writings of the late Dr. Vladimir ‘Zev’ Zelenko.
He also recommended taking Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine prophylactically but I never did…thinking I’ll rely on my immune system first and if I got sick I’d start. Started the pills on March 20, 2020 and haven’t had so much as a sniffle since. My wife got it (fairly mild, 5 days of feeling poopy) and I didn’t catch it. Never got the jab either. More anecdotal info…

@TheFritz

We’ve been doing the same. Same result.
And that without fanatically masking from start to finish of this colossal plandemic lie.

Biden’s EV Tax Credit is just as worthless as his Student Loan action. Apparently 70% of EV’s won’t qualify,so it also ends up as sound-bite gesture with no content. It gets even more interesting because while the Biden administratiom is promoting -hell, requiring- the use of American mined lithium for EV batteries, the EPA is bitterly opposing opening any lithium mines.

So sorry to be repetitive—this is my favorite drum …

I am still a huge fan of nasal lavage, done with a saline solution and a neti pot (or a baby bottle, which makes a cheap and effective neti-pot). Please scour the internet and read up on the efficacy of daily nasal lavage in combating rhinoviruses including Covid. I use a 1% saline solution that I mix myself; the commercial packets are too strong and make me sneeze violently and I suspect a lot of people have the same problem.

To one gallon of distilled water I add 6 level teaspoons of ordinary table salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. I measure them out on a sheet of waxed paper creased down the center, then funnel it into the neck of the water jug. Here’s the nugget of info that you need to know: the saline solution cleans and refreshes the nasal passages so they work better, and washes out the snotty bits. (DO NOT pinch off the nostril(s) and blow gently to clear out the solution.)

The baking soda slightly changes the natural pH of the nasal mucosa, making it a bad bad host for rhinoviruses so it helps prevent them from taking hold. It takes about 8 to 12 hours for a rhinovirus to latch on at the cellular level, and invade your system. If you can wash it out before it has a chance to latch on, you have a good chance of keeping it out.

I have not had a cold or the flu since I started doing nasal lavage with a neti pot, in 1999, and neither has JavaMan. JavaMan did not take the Covid shots but I did. He had never had the flu—not in his whole life—so apparently he has some special immunity in that regard.

One last tip—some medical researchers advocate using an alcohol based mouthwash in conjunction with nasal lavage. The premise is that the alcohol will help destroy Covid virus. Listerine Cool Mint has 21.6% alcohol—which seems like a lot to me—but I use it before leaving the house, and do a neti when I return.

Neti pots are incredibly overpriced, so a baby bottle is a cheap way to try nasal lavage. Just the old-fashioned kind with the rounded ball-tipped nipple—which is soft and comfortable stuck up in your nostril 🙂 Cut an 8mm hole across the top of the nipple and drill a 4mm hole in the bottom so the water will siphon. You can also buy a plastic condiment bottle and cut down the nozzle and punch a hole in the bottom.

Al, Fritz, Deb-
You’re all right on target. The d,c, zinc, magnesium, k2, b, , along with the standard arthritis supplements really help. Taking liquid ivm orally is cost effective; just follow the fccc dosages for prophylaxis and treatment. The vitamins kept the covid away until omicron. Started taking nigella sativa late November. Caught omicron Christmas Eve. Ivermectin 0.6mg/kg for a week. 1 day of being tired with slight fever, over it in 72 hours. Nothing since then.
