Smoooooooth

I wasn’t kidding that I started a skincare routine. I was kidding that Jen Ruben’s face made me do it, but she has sure stiffened my resolve. I’ve never paid much attention to my skin, and it’s really starting to show.

It is a confusing mess of peptides, retinoids, exfoliants, moisturizers, scrubs, serums, creams and fluids, all of which are screamingly expensive because people will pay anything. Fortunately, there’s dermatology YouTube to guide me. The skin channels I’ve run across are mostly men and their faces look like they are entirely composed of baby buttocks.

Those two guys in the picture are Drs Maxfield and Shah. There are plenty more, but I found those two especially helpful.

Any advice?

p.s. Earlier, I watched a snippet of Pam Bondi and her confirmation hearing for Attorney General. She looks about 25 – not near old enough for her resume. I checked her bio and holy crap, she’s 60! I wanna know her skin care routine!

I recommend the exfoliating peel pads with both glycolic and salicylic acid. I had a lot of acne scars from when I was a teenager and a few years ago decided to try those peel pads. They made a noticeable difference with just the first use so I would imagine they would be good for wrinkles too. Biotin probably helps too and is not very expensive.

Pam?
Simple enough – fresh milk blended with the blood of transgender virgins taken in ritual sacrifice at the spring equinox.
At least according to Senator Sheldon Whorehouse….

Wear those age marks with pride, you earned them.

One hears and reads of young girls looking for “their knight in shining armor.” What the poor kids don’t realize is that shining armor means the guy inside it hasn’t done anything. What they really want is a knight in dinged up, dented, well worn armor. That guy’s been places, done things and survived them. I heartily agree with @Durnedyankee. Wear your dinged armor and show the world you’re tougher than it is.

I’m past caring but I’ve very often seen comparison tests on skincare products and Lidl turn out to be at least as good as the very expensive fancy brands.

This is going to sound weird, but I’m not joking:

Beef tallow. Applied topically.

Seriously

One of our friends in China has a line of face creams that cost his clients about $1100 per month. It has all sorts of cellular growth factors and is illegal to import to the states.
Pretty much any moisturizer that doesn’t break you out will work as well as any other.
