My journey to obsolete myself continues

I’ve continued to be fascinated with making AI draw me pictures. The mother of them all is MidJourney, and I haven’t gone there yet.

Have a look at the gallery. This top page changes every day and showcases images created that day. Creators can’t opt out!

The image above I thought was especially lovely. I don’t know if links to it will work after it moves off the front page, but here it is.

The cool thing about these images is that they publish the prompt that produced them. Some of them are long and complex and will include the names of several artists.

The prompt for the above is “geometrical, minimalist logo design, abstract fusion of words “ALLA PIXEL” in center of illustration, paintbrushs, splral from rough fabric, rose flowers, ethereal elegance, high fashion branding style, smooth curves with sacred geometry, soft golden and ivory tones, modern luxury aesthetic, vector style, centered composition, ultra clean lines, futuristic yet mythical, elegant symbol, ivory background, isolated,” and it cuts off there, so there was more to it.

I’m going to have to jump in, but there is no free option. It’s not much ($8 a month for the most basic), but I hate the subscription model.

Eh. Hold my beer.

So the skill set for an artist is no longer color theory, perspective, line quality, anatomy etc. Now descriptive writing is all you need. Fascinating how language has become so important in yet another aspect of our modern lives. The meaning behind words carries more weight than ever. Be careful what we let them change.
Sorry for the rant. Feel free to change my mind. Beautiful image but a sketch by a human on elephant shit paper for example, it ain’t. Sweas, as an artist, does creating art with AI give you a sense of satisfaction? Does it scratch the creative itch? Please know I’m not condemning. I’m asking because I’ve not used it yet.

So, I hope AI doesn’t sneak into your creative Swease…I know you’re behind in your dick giving (I am owed 2 BTW) and it would be a rather quick resolve for catching up. Which posits the question, does AI art created by an artist via AI/computer rather than the pen, make it any less valuable?

It is cool that they publish the prompts, I think you would have to already be a talented artist, or a humongous bullshitter, to be able to write a paragraph that descriptive and specific.

AI works are not copyrightable, fritz, unless you’ve done significant alterations to the original. But so far, I have done.

(yeah. I'm going to write)

(oooo! you have a website?)

Beware: more than one link in a comment is apt to earn you a trip to the spam filter, where you will remain -- cold, frightened and alone -- until I remember to clean the trap. But, hey, without Akismet, we'd be up to our asses in...well, ass porn, mostly.
