I fear the comments section of Hot Air. All those really big blogs have the worst comments, its like a room full of glue-sniffing chimpanzees most of the time.

The bigger they are, the dumber the comments.

Ace of Spades HQ is one exception to the bigger=stupider comments rule, as is Volokh (although I don’t know how big that blog is) and Protein Wisdom. Right Wing News can have good comment discussions too, but there’s a cadre of rotating leftist twits that ruin any constructive dialogue at RWN.

LGF always was a miserable festival of awful comments, and now its turned into a prison camp of Christophobes and left-leaning twerps.

True…I’ve always said Ace’s blog was the one example I can think of where the comments and the owner were equally entertaining. A really good Ace thread is a treat.

In my defence, I do try to drag Ace’s comment thread down to the greatest extent possible when I post one there. I say awful, awful words and allow the blogatorical equivalent of veins in my temple to show. Here I am positively serene, if such can be believed.
