Ermegherd! I wernt wern!

Have you seen this thing?? It’s hooked up to a jetski on the other end and it swooshes around in the water like…oh, just go watch the video Uncle B took.

‘Twas the Rye Maritime Festival on Sunday. It’s usually one of the lesser local festivals, but the band was above average this year. So was the food. And then there was this thing.

For £90 I can have two hours of training on this. But I’d probably crush my skull against something. I figure I could crush my skull against water vapor, no prob. I’m talented like that.

In the hood (Delmarva – MD) they’ve taken big notice of this entertainment. No gummint who would implement a rain tax, would allow James Bond equipment to go untaxed/unregulated.

There were several like that, Deborah. I think it was his huge, throbbing Nikon.

Ackshly (just to ruin’s Stoaty’s smutty jest) it was my silly little pocket Canon – complete with a smudge on the lens, which is all too apparent on the video!

Pah! 🙁

I would end up either damaging myself badly or just killing myself straight off.

But it does look like fun and perhaps worth it nonetheless!

Thanks AltBBrown. First I ever heard of these things, and no sooner did I learn, then you point out that Big Daddy government is already regulating the piss out of them. No. Fight back. Nanny State can shove off. Is John Freakface Kerry only allowed to go 10 feet up when he goes kite sailing? Are there any regulations at all for that? AFAIK, none. Nor spinnaker lofting, and probably not paralofting or whatever that ride in the islands with the parachutes is called. But here’s a money maker that any dingdong with $20 can ride for 10 minutes, And probably almost anyone can build one with sturdy plastic nozzles and a fire hose, so let’s get government involved right away. For your own good. Oooh, I am so freakin pissed I’m squirting blood from both eyes.

If you don’t regulate it, it’s hard to tax it, Drew!

I’m not sure about the standing part (having bad pins’n’all) but I could really get behind (er, on) a motorcycle variant. Tally-ho!

It kind of looks like Ironman taking off. Lots of fun but certain death for me, most likely. Cracked skull at a minimum.

Yeah, no chance of anything going even remotely wrong there… Nope, not a chance… ahem….

That looks like something with the potential for giving Fire-Rescue something to do.

My son’s girlfriend bought him a lesson on one of these for his birthday. Perfect for him as he is literally the most coordinated person I know. Me, I would most likely manage to flip over and faceplant before I got airborne 😉 He had a blast, though.
