During the World Baseball Classic, they would show crowd shots and they would be full of people waving flags and chanting, singing songs, dancing, wearing costumes, etc. Its that way for all multinational soccer (futbol) games as well. And the usual “chanting USA makes my panties bind” types are perfectly fine with that, even supportive. Those countries are proud, how wonderful for them!

Its only when the USA is proud and chants and so on that they get all squeamish and shocked and uncomfortable. These are the same people who wear I *heart* NYC shirts and yell I LOVE THIS TOWN!!!
