Axed and answered

axe

Feast your eyes, ladies and gentlemen. This is what ‘above average’ looks like.

Above. Average.

Nigel Farage has just come on teevee to say he thinks Remain will win by a few points. That’s been the consensus all week, but to hear Nige say it is depressing.

It solves nothing. The margin is likely to be slim, and all the passion was for Leave. In other words, half of this country is likely to wake up very pissed off at the other half tomorrow. Including a majority of the people who 23andme would call ‘the English’.

This will not end well, and it certainly will not end tomorrow.

Hm. Time to go practice more axe throwing, I think.

On the bright side of REMAIN, rather than BREXIT — it just shows you the average Brit is a welcoming fellow, believes in his govt policy, and trusts the PM to keep everyone safe! Kind of a nice feeling when you take the path of least resistance.

Of course, there was that PM Chamberlain back in the 30s – Brits trusted him too when he did nothing in the face of looming threat. Everything turned out OK in the end, it just took some time!

Axe throwing may come in handy.

I’ll certainly not be disrespectful of axe-throwing, but I’ll reach for my .30-06 M1 Garand, and/or my 12G Remington 870 pump shottie, and/or my 5.56/.223 heavy-barrel night-scope AR-15 to accompany one or more of my pistols loaded with 9mm +P hollow points.

Oh. Sorry. You will have to make do with axes over there. Pity.

Are machetes OK?

I hope so. I brought one.

One of the enduring regrets of my life was not buying an old, worn and EVIL-looking machete I saw in a down-market gunshop in Providence once. That thing had tasted human blood, I’m sure of it.

Perhaps you should take up the longbow or crossbow. Any opinions as to which is superior?

You inspired me to search for “filipino weapons” and I ran into this…

I think I’m in love. I need to find me one of these.

Gee. I always imagined you looking more like Flora, Fauna, or Merryweather.

Well, Swease, I suppose your axe handling skills are a result of the time you spent in Lake Wobegon.

Surely you remember the end of the monologue? “Well, that’s the news from Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average.”

Annnnd – it looks like youse guys are telling the EU to F-off.

There ain’t going to be anyone left in the EU in a few years, except for the freeloaders (Greece, etc). And maybe Germany, because someone has got to pay the bills.

Now you have to do something about the moron that was elected as Mayor of Londonstan.

At 8:50 here in LA, local news says the UK voted to leave! Dancing in the streets time.

All I’m going to say is; Congratulations UK. You split the heads of unelected, non-accountable, foreign bureaucrats with you mighty axes.

My deepest congratulations to Sweas and Uncle Badger on a chance at freedom. I say a chance, because from what I have been seeing in Brit papers there is a move in Parliament to ignore the referendum, which apparently is not binding.

And, just in passing, if they do ignore the referendum, and since your people are constitutionally impaired and unarmed; if you look around online you will find that the US military publishes some fascinating field manuals on improvised weaponry.

Axes: good
Claymore Mines: better

Thank you, fellow minions! I think that was what they call a white knuckle ride.

Now it’s your turn… We’ll get the drinks in, while you’re busy.

It gives me a little bit of hope somewhere near my pancreas, wherever that is. People on the ‘Net have been growling that the vote would be rigged to the Remain side. Maybe TPTB can’t control everything, not yet. Gives me a shining vision that we may yet defeat Hillacankles.

BREXIT! WOOT!! And, what Wolfus Aurelius said.
